I think you mean Garth Ennis. Steve Dillon's work with Ennis on Punisher was so weird and brutal and genius, it's what got me to check out Preacher and even Hellblazer and ultimately their work together on Judge Dredd.

 

You are absolutely right, I always get those two mixed up, my bad.

I wasn't a huge fan in the act that I would follow all his work, but I appreiated his style quite a bit. IT's was very clean and in a lot of ways reminded me of Ditko's style. Plus he was a professional about his work and what he did. I will miss opening up a book and realizing that he was the artist.
