Other than GI Joe and Transformers, what was your next favorite cartoon?

Good question and Im not really sure what the answer would be. I think you have to start at Joe/TF because they were (atleast in my memory) the first two cartoons that weren't on Saturday mornings or weren't repeats of something that had been on for some time (like Bugs Bunny, Flintstones or any of the Hanna Barbera stuff). I can remember running home from school to watch Thundercats but usually missing the first fifteen minutes because it started at 4 and I got out of school at 4. Waking up in the morning and cataching MASK and after it went off the air Spiral Zone. But the best (and worst) was the summer I went from living in Kansas to staying with my Aunt in New Jersey and being introduced to Starblazers and then coming back to KS where nobody knew about the show.

I'm assuming we're free to pick non-80's cartoons. If now, I'm going to brazenly break the rules anyway:

Batman the Animated Series. The definitive portrayal of my favorite superhero in any medium, comics, TV, or movies. A true classic.

Besides that:
X-Men

Thundercats

ExoSquad

He-Man

are some of my faves as well.

Spiderman & his amazing Friends & the Incredible Hulk hour was always a favorite w/some sense of stories....I loved the Pink Panther & Inspector Clousseau, Thundercats & Voltron. The cheesy Nintendo Cartoon was cool as well...I remember when the Xmen were on Amazing Spiderman....Wolverine had an Australian accent. I mentioned this before but it seemed most of the cartoons used the same stock music.....when they were at parties or building tension music.....I remember getting up w/my older brother at the buttcrack of Saturday to watch cartoons for 3 hours...they had Looney Tunes...& if we got up super early we could catch the Three Stooges or Our Gang "shorts".....

Oh how I remember waking up on sat mornings to watch looney tunes, Thundar, Dungeons and dragons, kid video, Rubik the amazing cube, Pac man, The Real Ghostbusters, Pee Wee's playhouse just to name a few. If I got up really early about 6:30am I could watch Voltron. I use to always love when they would do the preview show of the new seasons cartoons they use to do at the end of the summer to let you know what was going to be on sat morning.

As for weekdays if I got out of school early around 2:00pm I could watch Heathcliff, Mask, Gobots, Ghostbusters,Transformers, Gi Joe, then Thundercats.

Wish it was all still like that.

Bionic Six was always my all-time favorite. The production values alone blew everyone else away. Skysurfer Strike Force comes up a close second. Gargoyles is in there to, especially when they started getting into the Avalon episodes (and NOBODY before or since comes anywhere near the caliber of their voice cast!)..

I recently got reacquainted with the "Red Sky" episodes of the original TMNT cartoon as well. Gotta give them some love.

Outside of those, anything from Filmation, and of course, the Superfriends (cause Batman, Superman, Justice League, Young Justice, etc. were all just playing catch-up).
