The only Dinobot I have like and is a favorite of mine is Swoop. Swoop says whoope go. I just have always like him. I just wish TT & Hasbro would do a MP verison of him and the rest of the Dinobots. I have seen some nice 3rd party Dino's but I need to stick with TT/Hasbro with them.

My decision is based off the cartoon...of course Grimlock is king...he had the best personality & charisma...his only strike against him was that he didn't accidentally eat or step or sit on Wheelie when he had the chance....Grimlock is king & quite possibly the smartest living Dinobot, he started the Dinobot 5 Barbershop Quartet, they even got an Grammy nomination on Cybertron....of course that lead Slag to break away start his own embarrassing solo career & of course his dismal 3 CD/album "Triceratopology"....he was admitted to the Blaster Ford Clinic for Energon Abuse.....he later became an "Born Again All-Sparkian"....."Till all are One" is their particular catchphrase....much like the "May the Force be with You" that's wildly popular in other regions of Universe......Unless some other Dinobot steps up w/the magic that is Grimlock...he's no bozo, he's King

LOL!! Epic post...this has to be the post of the week...

I too had Sludge as a kid I...thought out of all the Dinobots, he had the best robot mode. So my decision would have been based on how good the actual toy was. If we're talking about personality and overall appeal, it has to be Grimlock. I actually have an original Grimlock print from a show I attended in Savannah, GA signed by Greg Berger, the voice of Grimlock himself. He's a very nice guy...he even did Grimlock's voice for me. It was great...

Grimlock is the easiest answer, because he was one of the most developed characters in both the G1 show and G1 comic, but I have a personal preference for Swoop.

He was the first Dinobot toy that I owned, I love both his robot and dino mode with the chromed out wings.

Also, he wasn't the strongest of the bunch, but probably the most agile given his flying mode.

The character did get some decent development in the episode "Desertion of the Dinobots", and I really enjoyed the interaction he had with Spike and Carly.
