Price For X-Men 1-113?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to purchase the full run of X-men comics from 1991-2001. What's a fair price to pay?

Nothing in my memory sticks out in my memory as being really important about that run (and by that I mean new superstar artist coming on board or new super popular character being introduced that would cause issues to be real expensive, there were some good stories and talent). Not having any idea what the actual value of any of those books, I would say anything more than $200 to $300 would be too much.

Comics don't go for much on eBay these days-- the asking prices might be high, but the actual selling prices aren't.

That's what I'm seeing, anyway.

And of course there are going to be exceptions for some stuff.

For what you're after, I would think you'd be able to get everything for $1 to $3 per issue. Maybe a few issues here and there slightly higher-- first issue, milestone issues, new creative team kickoffs, important crossover issues and those sorts of things.

Buying a complete run could save you some cash.

Beyond eBay I imagine you could find many issues from the run individually in comic books store back issue bins for similar prices-- couple bucks each.

If there are any major comic book conventions near you, check out the vendors on the final day when they drop their prices-- you might find a large chunk of that run at a very reduced cost.

Thanks for the input guys. Don't have any Comic stores or conventions in this area that I know of, so ebay is really my only option. The prices kinda seemed all over the place when I wad checking ebay, so that's why I asked here.

Thanks again. :)
