Akuma 3 3/4"

The second inspiration for trying Oni was the previous request of Akuma. And he was certainly more complex. I've actually never really been much of an Akuma fan. I like Evil Ryu a lot more. But, he was a challenge I couldn't resist. I actually took three different approaches to the head before realizing the Punisher head matched his old portrait picture perfectly.

 

The vast majority of this figure required sculpting. The legs were sculpted over, with portions for the bottom of the gi added to the lower legs. The entire torso was resculpted for the gi, as well as his gloves. The bottom portion of the gi top was a mix and match. I used skirt pieces from Dr Doom and Ronin as a base and sculpted the rest around that. Twisted some sculpt to somewhat resemble a rope belt, then added the knot and straps portion from Iron Fist to finish it off. Then came the head. Punisher base with the hair itself fully resculpted. This took a few tries, but I think I finally got something a bit more accurate than I was initially expecting. Finished him off by adding the emblem to his back and using some crafting beads for his necklace. Pretty happy with my first attempt at the character.
