2015 Sub Update per RGD

Recommended Posts

So this is what I've seen and heard so far.

I sat down and listened to the Roast Gooble Dinner #125 with guests Eric Treadaway and Scott Neitlich.

Some points:

1. It was stressed that the sub won't go through if its not 100% period.

2. Scott said he was on vacation right now because the sub was trending toward goal and he wasn't expecting it to fail.

3. The mini-comic coming with Oolar is part 1 of 3 and the other two issues are to packed in with the 2015 $60 holiday item.

4. A lot of vintage MOTU figures were mentioned and how much tooling would be needed to complete them.

5. They discussed the reason behind wanting fast sell outs and the cost of storing figures for Mattel.

6. Talked about the possibility of the last figures becoming more valuable due to smaller production runs.

7. Confirmed the plan to product a mini-sub next year if the sub goes through.

8. Also stressed if the sub failed then the already done figures would be quarterly releases and then that would be it for the line

Now two other things that I've seen:

1. Scott said the hover robots might be canceled if the sub fails.

2. Queen Angela pics have hit the net as the next character reveal.
