Just got home from seeing the movie.

Amazing a Micheal Bay film that I actually enjoyed.

As a movie fan it was meh!!

As a Transformers fan - it was freakin awesome !!!

Loved the Dinobots and the way Jon Goodman played Hound for me was great.

Best thing was there was no sign of that dreadful Ninja Turtles trailer

Saw it last night, prob my fav after the first one. Loved the non-stop action. Yeah, there were human storylines.. but that's to be expected. The slapstick comedy was gone though, but there were a couple of funny moments.

That can only be a good thing.

I don't understand why I have seen so many negative reviews on this movie. I loved it. No more of Sam yelling all the time and Agent Simmons talking about thumper dumpers. I felt like it was constant action.

Transformers 4 Age of Extinction - Diminishing Returns on Late-Night Screenings - How Will This Affect Transformers 5?

Movie was OK for a action flick/toy commercial. Dinobots were pretty unnecessary. Could have cut them out of the movie completely and it wouldn't have effected it at all. Well except for mercifully cutting the running time down. Galvatron's voice was the right call.

Overall, it's probably not something I will revisit again except for maybe to have running in the background while I'm doing something else.

I still have not seen it but I have some random Bayformers thoughts:

The fist one was heavily flawed but by far the best. A kid getting his first car that happens to be a Transformer is a good set up. Seeing these guys transform onscreen for the first time was something that we really haven't seen at the movies before and it was cool when it was new. The scene where the Autobots were sneaking around Spike's house was cleverly done and as fun as any of the disaster porn that was seen in future films. Of course the down sides are the annoying human characters (although this was Shilo Buff's least annoying outing) and an asinine set up for a final battle where an American military commander actually decides that they will make their final stand against an invading alien force in a heavily populated city in the middle of the day putting the maximum amount of innocent life in danger.

TF2 and TF3 were nearly irredeemable.

I was listening to a Hollywood report on the radio where the host claimed that Shilo Buff is considered the biggest d-bag in Hollywood by far. He read a laundry list of duechy antics including his time dating Megan Fox that ended in her getting a restraining order against him (no wonder she wasn't in TF3).

A lot of the toys from the first couple movies are pretty fun. I have the ROTF Leader Prime and just transformed him again last night. There is some great engineering and detail that goes into that guy and others from the first two lines.

The toys from TF3 and TF4 stink.

You can't fault Michael Bay any more at this point. He's going to make the TF movies that he wants to make, he is not going to put Generation One onscreen. If you buy a ticket, you know what you're going to get and if you come out hating it, there' s no one to blame buy yourself. I still read a few frustrated fanboy comments online complaining things like, "Ugh, why doesn't Bay just watch the original cartoons and learn about these characters!" Bay is not going to do that and if you're still waiting for him to, there's no helping you.

Watched it yesterday, the first 3/4 of the movie was really garbage and boring. Fortunately, the last 1/4 of the movie saved everything starting with Brain revealed the grand scheme. From there all the interesting began.
