Pixel Dan Reviews the Unnamed One

Me too. This is classic Neitlich. I bet his statement about it being a 4HM design is absolute crap just to get people to sub and the figure will be another of his obnoxious self customs that will divide the fans further. Already we have seen him tying to push his crummy Son of He-ro fan fic on us yet again.

I think the Unnamed One may have a Snake tail or something given the shape that was cut out on the back of the box.

A shame that it was more of a prank than anything.

Still, not as bad as the "Club Eternia Sneak Peak" e-mail I got a couple days ago showcasing... Hydron. Yay. Or something.

Yeah thats another one I will get rid of

It was harmless, but it's still Scott being a troll. If it was between Scott and Dan... then it should have been just that, between them. Why make it public when they know it's just rattling cages? He can use the excuse that it was a harmless joke all he wants... it was unprofessional for a Brand Manager to do that AND allow it to go public. Sending an empty, cut-up package to someone is something that a spiteful child would do. Why not just send him an actual part or accessory for him to review and speculate on? No, he sends him garbage, literally.

Isn't it kind of a no brainer that we will not be getting a review of a figure that is meant to be kept secret?

I stated my opinion... that what Nietlich did was completely unprofessional and childish. Not sure how this is over-reacting. If Scott would stop trying to get attention and make himself scarce, there would be no reaction at all. ;)

LOL the only thing new that was shown was the mailer box it comes in. You know say what you will but the new Mailer boxes do remind me of the ones that the mail in came in back in the day. By the way did Mattel ever do mail in offers like Hasbro and Kenner did with GI Joe and Star Wars?

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, I'm hoping for a Snake Mountain Man. It makes sense since we now have a Castle Grayskullman... and I'm sure as soon as Daniel Benedict's design was seen by Nietlich, he immediately secured the idea for a Snake Mountain man... it was just a matter of figuring out how to fit him into his dumbass bios. I'm guessing any new tooling for it will also be used for future figures... I doubt they would tool exclusively for it since it's a made up character.

Anyone know when the guy is to show up. I am lowering my expectations. I don't know if Mattel can outdo themselves like they did with Shadow Weaver.

I'm sure it will be underwhelming, especially with the hints that it's a Snakeman of some kind. So I've lowered my expectations, too. But maybe they'll surprise us.

You said it. The only reason I subbed up was because we are getting some really nice figures(I do like Two Bad). Though there are a few exceptions. If the Unnamed guy doesn't appeal to me then I can probably get rid of him.

I would think he will be snake like....don't the snakemen worship/follow him?

There are those who think that it will be the (unseen) unnamed one from the vintage mini comic, and there are those who think it will be the Dark Orko character from the new comics. I don't think it will be any of those. Just because Nietlich has named it the Unnamed One, doesn't mean it will be from any particular canon. I think it will be a newly created Mattel/Nietlich design to tie up the existing bios, and they are only calling it the Unnamed One because it's all part of the big stupid surprise. Remember, Neitlich's MOTUC canon is his own personal creation, (aside from the elements he stole from Emiliano)... so the Unnamed One could be just about anything or anyone. It was all part of the big plan, create buzz, create anticipation, divide the fanbase, etc.

Hopefully the character will be cool enough to stand next to Draego-Man. If not, and if it's remotely a 200X character, I will get rid of it.
