Wonder Woman...

Honestly...Meh.

The production values were good, but in my honest opinion, WONDER WOMAN will never work on the big screen as long as she's wearing the classic costume. It just looks ridiculous watching a woman in a bathing suit beat-up guys with machine guns.

Yes...its a classic costume, and it looks great on paper. But on-screen? It's silly.

Keep the tiara. Keep the colors. But fix the rest.

It looks good, but the thing is you have to make it look spectacular if your going to put it on the big screen for two hours plus and the the story and characters have to have a well thought out arc if your going to put it on tv for a hour a week 22 times a year. It's hard to have that kind of quality on a consistent basis.

I don't know, Lynda Carter looked GREAT doing it on her show.

On the other hand, watching Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, and Bale beating up bad guys in a black-rubber muscle suit, that got silly.

But Linda Carter's show had a campy appeal that neither DC nor the fans will want for WW's big-screen debut. In addition, the athleticism and stunts utilized today are far more hyperkinetic than in 1976.
