2013 JoeCon: Carded Lady Jaye Figures & Exclusive Info

I kinda like that LJ, but not for the price it will go for on Ebay. It looks like they gave her a new head (which I like) and new legs. Wondering how that Steeler is going to turn out. Wish I had been able to order the Con set, but things just piled up on me when the pre-orders where needed.

Yeah, I'd imagine it would be a dificult dilemma for them to solve; how do you decide what kind of exclusive figure to offer? If you do some lame character or a popular one in terrible colors, then no one will be interested, possibly limiting the chance there'd be any future offerings. Then if you make a really cool one that everyone wants, the ol' supply and demand scenario kicks in and someone is bound to be mad and/or disappointed because of limited availability, thereby equally disenchanting fans.

I'll let you guys in on my little secret on coping with such disappointment: When there happens to be something really rare or limited that I want and can't afford or find, I tell myself that I was just fine before I ever knew the item existed, so being without it now shouldn't be any different. (lol)

well I guess that works, but its certainly not satisfying. I no longer collect lines that have alot of exclusives. The main reason I didn't collect modern joes was because the minute the fan club started making figures I wanted (ie, Dr. Venom) and joe con exclusives... I knew that there would be too many holes in my collection. How can you have half a Night Force team (which I think were Walmart exclusives anyway.

I stopped collecting DCUC when they shifted to a subscription mode. Star wars is a great line bc most of their exclusives are repaints or reissues in different packaging. I never feel like i'm missing out on important pieces if I don't get a SW exclusive... Same with Marvel Legends. I wish Gi Joes were like that but I have the original vintage collection so I'm pretty full up with joe as it is
