48 Frames Per Second Hobbit

Recommended Posts

Right now, I'm trying to watch the 48fps version of The Hobbit, and I don't like it at all. I'm curious to see how other people feel about it.

For me, it almost makes me feel nauseous when there's a lot going on, and the camera is moving around fast. It almost looks like everything is moving in fast forward. It also gives the movie less of an "epic" feeling. A lot less cinematic, and more like you're watching a live play. It makes it really hard to concentrate on the movie. It's strange how much impact double frame rate has on your visual perception.

Did anyone else see this version of the movie?
