My rant

I understand you're upset, but then why did you buy them? If you are honestly that upset why do I see $50 in your video that you just gave to hasbro? Speak with your wallet and leave that stuff on the pegs for the kids. If they're not buying them, or their parents aren't, then Hasbro will get the point.

As for the mixing and matching, you're forgetting the whole point. They're for kids, they love taking things apart.. it's for them, not you.

I hate to say it, but listening to your whole video, you answered all your own questions in there.

Gotta agree with JoeRhyno here. Sorry, man, I have no problem with you but I just don't get it.

My only guess as to why you're buying stuff you think is crap is because you're a completist and you have to have everything and that's your business. But if so, I'd repeat my advice I offer to all completists: Are you HAPPY collecting it all? If so, great, that's what the hobby is for. If you're not happy, rethink it. The hobby should be fun.

You'll get no argument from anyone on these boards that those figures blow. But you have a choice not to buy.

Watching his video I think he bought it due to the fact that he liked the Iron Man 2 figures and these new IM3 figs will give him more armors. I think he also did have a lot of those hall of armor stands for future figs .

If you watch this video he made you'll probably understand a bit of his rant

I just wish he only bought one and try it out first but its his money so I have no say in that.

I saw these ASSemblers last monday and just one look I just have to say pass even at $5 I won't buy it.

I saw these today...what a missed opportunity! I could see the "build-a-figure" appeal these should have going for them, but five points of articulation?? Really, Hasbro?! Maybe if this were 1979, or Dollar Tree was putting these out. (lol) And I can totally see Hasbro putting out a low-cost line for those kids that can't afford the rising cost of action figures, but c'mon...any given Iron Man line has proven to be one of those "evergreen" lines that just sells and sells, no matter what time of year it is or price point. It's almost as if Hasbro's helping the death of action figures along by issuing such a "downgrade" line. Oh well...thank goodness for the half a dozen other companies that will produce better figures anyway, like Revoltech, Diamond Select, etc. It's such a shame, because the packaging was very attractive, and there were some cool designs on some of the figures.

After weeks of seeing these on the shelves at Target and fighting the urge to pick them up, I finally picked up a War Machine at TRU yesterday just because I had $10 in TRU bucks that I needed to use and there was nothing else in the store that even remotely I wanted (was hoping for Joes, but they haven't stocked them yet). After getting him home and messing around with him I was still pretty disappointed with the direction that Hasbro decided to take the IM three toys, but I do wonder if the decision was made a little later than usual. At first I thought it was a pretty soft scuplt but Iwanted to see how the IM3 War Machine head looked on the IM2 War Machine's body. It doesn't fit but comparing the scuplt I was surprised by some of the minor details that could have really been brought out. I also wonder about the peg holes on the leg and arms since no of the figures I saw had any attachments that would go in them.

I think this idea would have worked a little better with IM2 since it was Iron Man vs Armored villians. I doubt I'll buy any more of these and wish Hasbro would have continued with what they did in IM2 (heck, I would have settled for Avengers articulation).

I was pretty pissed with the new figures too but then I went to Toys R Us and saw they still had a pile of Iron Man 2 toys so... maybe they needed to cut back :/

Also, I've noticed that when toy companies give us better articulation, it's usually at the expense of durability and when selling to kids, I think durability is a safer bet than articulation. Kids would rather their toy can take abuse rather than be in lots of fancy poses

I'll admit that maybe TRU overordered on IM2 toys, but mine also has only the same three or four figures: mark 3, mark 4, mark 6 and light up mark 6 (or is it 4).

Hasbro didn't make these for you AFS. They made them for young kids. You might as well go buy Hasbro's Playskool Marvel Super Hero Adventures Figures and say your mad they aren't full of articulation. It would essentially amount to the same thing. I mean if you like that sort of thing and want to buy it more power to you but the people who constantly spend time complaining about this stuff are just wasting their energy. Collectors still have lines being made/geared for them. Marvel Universe is still around, Marvel Legends is still around, so focus on collecting those. I say if you have $10 bucks to spend save it for a collector line figure, even if it means you have to go to a comic shop or etailer that is there to cater to you guys as opposed to a Target, TRU or Wal-Mart that really isn't.
