Hasbro's Black Series 6" Figure Line

Hopefully Hasbro wont pull a Mattel and hold key characters "hostage"...

They won't have any reason to, because they aren't relying on subscription sales to sell their product.

Honestly, if the first four figures from this line are any indication of how great the rest of this line is gonna be, it will blow MOTUC out of the water as far as sales (Star Wars is a lot more popular) and overall toy design is concerned. I LOVE MOTUC, and maybe it's just the newness of these Star Wars figures, but I honestly think they are way cooler than any MOTUC figure I have.

These are freaking awesome and blew me away even more than I thought! I got Luke and Sandtrooper from Targets back room today. Luke.... best head sculpt ever. The deco on the ST is amazing too. I am hooked!

Welp...found a set today. Sure enough I picked up R2, Luke, and Sandtrooper (and Maul looked really good too). These figures are siiiiiiick! I'm actually planning to keep them in the box, which I never do. But the packaging is just so great and they look good in it. I like the little character quotes they put on the back of each.

Just a heads up...these are packaged in such a way that you can remove them, "play" with them, and then put them back in the box to display them. You just have to cut the tape at the top. If you aren't worried about MIB resale value, you can't even tell they've been removed. ;)

Im on the fence though between keeping these or my 3.75 inch figures.

I don't know why it has to be a question of one vs the other. This is not the first time I've seen people wonder out loud about ditching their 3 3/4" SW. If it's a question of space, then sure, I guess. For me I see it as the 3 3/4" line has run it's course. There is no one I need, no one I want to see made. But I'm gonna hang on to them because I think it's a good collection.

6" MAY become as extensive as 3 3/4" some day but that doesn't mean I'm getting everything. For bad guys, Vader, Storm Trooper, Boba Fett, Emperor and Tarkin would be a must. For good guys I'd be interested in the main guys in their various outfits plus admiral Ackbar. But I won't be building a complete creature cantina or Jabba's throne room of 6" figs at $20 a pop.

I noticed that and I greatly appreciate with you can do that with your action figure boxes. Still, not room for a wild 6" SW display at this time. Maybe in the future.

Awwwwsss yeah!! I stopped by the same BL's near work again on the way home tonite and nada on He-min....I left broken farted sooo I took my lady out to eat, good coupon deal for un-Souper Salad......there was a Target right next door & cause she knows me all too well, we stopped in after we ate.....& there they were!!! Well at least 3/4 ain't bad? all of them sans Darth Maul. Kudos to the awesome Terget employee who checked the back and his stocking gun........none left in the back, I got the last 3 left, R2 looks fairly cool, Luke......well I gotta play w/him haha......and the SandTrooper is amazing!! I don't want to take him out, it's amazing how our revamped toyz from the nostalgia days have become more than mere toyz they are small works of Art, I want to hang these from a wall in an gallery & have a bunch of wierdo's walking around w/half empty wine glasses talking about which period piece is better Return of the Jedi or Star Wars.....they're all winners too me and I want to army build the troopers sooooo bad but that could get very expensive...duel.gif

Hasbrotoyshop has them. If you search for "Star Wars Black" it won't bring them up. If you search for them by name, they will display in search results. The Sandtrooper is out of stock.
