Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros. TV is looking to continue trying a live-action series of Wonder Woman and they want to go with the approach of going back to an origins story.

The CW network has agreed to a script commitment which will chronicle Diana as a young Amazonian, before she becomes a warrior princess with super powers. The script is titled Amazon and will be written by Allan Heinberg, according to Vulture. The origin story is unclear as Wonder Woman has been a 'clay figure brought to life by the magic of the gods to her being a demigoddess, the natural-born daughter of Hippolyta and Zeus.'

This will be the second time Warner Bros. TV has tried getting Wonder Woman into a series. A series was developed two years when David E. Kelley’s got a pilot order but did not go to series

I feel like the only reason they want to do this is because of the '70s TV show rather than the fact Wonder Woman is a cool character. It's just another chance to score on nostalgia. I don't see it being any good. I think they should just give up and focus on making a cool movie.

That's why Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman never went through! He didn't agree to a script commitment! It all makes sense now! That must have been the same thing for David E. Kelley's tv show too. I'm so glad they're all agreeing to this "script commitment". Maybe they'll actually produce something now!

(I hope you've all enjoyed this high level of sarcasm) :P
