Oh, What could have been...

They mentioned to me and many others im sure that several of the figures could make it out sometime in one for or another. From what I gathered they were kinda trying to see if there was any interest in these. Even if we dont get all of them, it was pretty cool of hasbro to bring them so we could see what might have been.

I might be foolishly naive here, but I think sooner or later... probably later... Hasbro will make these figures available some how. They might get squeezed into a "Retaliation" the way "30th Anniversary" figures suddenly became "Renegades" figures. The labels don't seem to matter much to toy companies once the product is sculpted and they're ready to move it.

Is this a bad time to point this out?

What are they thinking? Really? The rock-bottom pescimist in me wonders if, in one year from now, we'll even see wave 2. Hasbro has said they're rerelease wave 1 next year. How are thses things going to move a SECOND time at this price??? These shelves will be clogged and retailers won't even consider ordering more.

The thing this brings to mind is the 2009 Star Trek line. We were suppoed to see a second wave of those too. The pictures were out there, fans were going to get a chance to finish their bridge playset. Instead the figures sat cold on the shelves, no one was buying, and there was no way retailers were going to order more. Wave 2 was dead, and you can still find a full set of wave 1 at my TRU to this day three years later.

I know declairing wave 2 dead is a stretch, but UPPING the price on figures that ain't selling is a baffling move. Retailers and Hasbro need to completely rethink what they're doing.

That's a lot of great stuff we're missing out on; it's a shame hasbro doesn't want our money.

I will say that I thought the Renegades toys were solid; I think I'm more upset that that show was cancelled than I am about these figures. We finally got a good joe show and it lasts one season.

Make them, then cancel them, then bring them to the convention to see if anyone might have really wanted them?

Well the figures that stood out were the Heat Viper, Hit & Run, and the CG Immortal!!! Very nice, and really want to see them made!!

Question: Who is the guy next to Quinn supposed to be??? I don't recognize him!!

Those "Drednoks" are kind of funny, Jason an the big headed boxer!!!

Finally!!! WHEN are we going to get a proper Flint with his sleeves rolled all the way up???

I'm just curious as to why everyone is all about that Hit and Run? The boxset one is pretty good....there are plenty of other figures (new characters) that haven't been updated and released yet?

I'm perfectly satisfied with the boxset Hit & Run too...I'd rather see, Kwinn, Data-Viper or any of the never before released figures show up on the shelves...maybe. That's all up to Hasbro. I can live without Dreadnok Jason Voorhees though :D

The fact is, there are a LOT of figures shown there that we just plain already have. You're right, the box set Hit and Run does not need an update, especially this soon. Also Beachhead, Barbecue, Flint, Lady Jay, Tele Viper, etc...we just got those guys and most are pretty good (I'm not about to lable Flint sleeves "correct" based on whether or not they're rolled above or below the elbow). Still a mystery as to when Hasbro was planning on releasing these, the "Guaging interest" party line doesn't seem to be holing water with anyone. Do these figures look great? Yes. But I guess it could be worse.

a picture is worth a 1000 words and what not.

He looks a ton better imo, original headsculpt (not sharing one with airborne) a more drab shade of green, a more realistic and detailed uniform, and added articulation. what is not to love?

I love the Heat viper too.. sooo cool.

I would buy all of those 30th and POC figures.. the only ones I would skip would be the Ninjas and Zombies. But I would buy the Zombie CC because he has an updated body, better than his old figures, and I would pop a regular head on him
