The Dark Knight Rises action figures

I saw them at walmart last night. The box has a street date of May 29th, if I recall correctly.

I opened the case to see what they look like and MAN... I couldn't believe how terrible they are. They seriously look like bad knockoffs, and not even chinese knockoffs.. like sri-lankan knockoffs. Everything about the figures was terrible. I was checking out the Bane figure and he was very bland without any detail in his sculpt or paint. His sculpt looked like a McDonald's toy and he had the articulation to match (5 points- shoulders, hips, neck). And it looks like he only had 3 colors of paint on him.

I tried to scan it just to see how much they were but it gave me the old "see an associate for help" crap..

Sri-Lanka??? NOOOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!!!!!! :)

Are you talking about the movie masters here or the 4 inchers? If it's MM, that would be disappointing, if it's 4 inchers, that's par for the course.

The 4" Batman's look okay in terms of sculpts, but for some reason, I'm recalling that the 4" The Dark Knight from the 2008 line was a much better sculpted figure, as I seem to recall those actually looking like a 4" of a 6" Movie Masters figure(At least in Sculpt, not joints). I will say all the Bane's looks like a Happy Meal quality toy. Speaking of Bane, here's a link from the Canadian Toys R Us website on a possible Bane figure that may or maynot be out in the near future, as this deco has him wearing grey pants, black top and boots, and the vest in a Blue Camo deco. I will say that the deco looks interesting, but I don't think it's actually out right now, cause I've never seen it in person:

Speaking of Canada, the U.S. luckly that Mattel U.S.A. at least included accessories for the Basic 4" figures(Eventhough all the pics I've seen of Batman comes with 1 accessory and a oversize Batarang), because it looks like Mattel Canada has cheapen out on the Basic 4" The Dark Knight Rises figures. You see, the Canadian verisons don't come with accessories at all, just the figure, as the price is around $7 Canadian(Standard Canadian Retail price for most 4" figures now is around $10-$11). This also means that it's possible that Mattel's International Markets for the Basic 4" line may also not come with accessories. For proof, here are some links from the Canadian TRU websites on pics on the packaging of The Dark Knight Rises Basic 4" figures:
