Pixel Dan Reviews Retaliation Cobra Commander

I love the look of this figure, but I sure hope Pixel Dan got an anomalous figure in terms of having such flimsy hands and loose legs. Otherwise it's awesome.

Yeah...I still don't get why they had to cut articulation points. Surely Hasbro's not that bad off, that a few articulation points are gonna make or break them at this stage in the game. (lol)

Maybe. But I doubt it's anomalous in terms of no file card, no stand, less articulation, and same high price. Pass for me.

I like the pictures on the back of the card. The one with Cobra Commander holding the pistol, looking down and to his right, looking at the missile fired by the other Cobra Commander. He's looking at him as to say, "Hey buddy! Watch it with that thing!"

I don't see what's so terrible about the lack of ankle articulation. I think we're a little spoiled after the 25th anniversary toys.

I like that review alot... I am not necessarily agreeing or disagreeing with any of his opinions, but I like his style. This was one of the better reviews I have seen from the photography, lighting, script, all the way to the comparisons. I have to say the latter things are what I really appreciate. I can't tell you how much better it is to have somebody obviously think of what they are going to say beforehand.. most of the time I find reviews unwatchable because of the reviewer's narration. I also really liked the comparison shots so we can see how a new figure measures up to previous ones.. that way we can tell the scale, how well they will fit in, if we like it better than others, etc..

good review PixelDan

for me, I like the figure too, for all of the reasons he mentioned.. but I am not as forgiving on the cutting back of the articulation, especially taking away the double knees and ankle joints.. even though some other figures from the line have both.

Also, I think it will get worse - i.e. - Retaliation driver style articulation on regular figures.

Recent trends have turned me more and more pessimistic--expecting the worst--but I don't think I'm THAT pessimistic. Yet.

I won't pick this figure up until after I see the movie. At first I was all on board for this figure but the figure comes across bad in this review, not in what Pixel said but just the look of the figure. At this point I am thinking Joes could get 6 inch line to truly capitalize of the designs, I don't care for the new Joes Hasblow designs.

Great review and the figure looks cool enough to me. The missing extra articulation points are not a deal breaker for me. If it's $6.97 at retail...I'll buy! ^_^

Don't go to Target, the price right now is $10.99 That's way to crazy for me to pick any of these figures if thats going to be the price.

Supposedly Retaliation figures are supposed to be less.

...Hopefully.
