Dollar General Joe Figures Round 2

My husband knows the manager at one of the local Dollar General stores and she told him that they haven't heard anything at all about any GI Joe figures. She told him that they are still sitting on a bunch of the older "dollar store" figures like Televiper, Ace, and Dusty. We also spoke with the manager at the local Family Dollar and she didn't know anything about them either. She told us that they deffinitely didn't have any peg signage or anything to put out. Nothing was showing up on orders or truck info either. It looks like, if these figures are coming, it's going to be a while. We can't wait for them. I think they look a lot better than the Retaliation figures.

At first I judged that Strom Shadow repaint as "lame". Then they pointed out that he may be meant to be T'Gin Zu and changed my thought to "Oh...kinda cool". Then I realized it's T'Gin Zu and now it's going back down to "lame".

Such a roller coaster of emotions!

is there any reason we think these are Dollar General items, and not for some other discount stores?

anyhow.. I like some of the repaints alot... I would really like to get the Shipwreck, Cobra Trooper, and even CC repaints... but the first set is better.

and that Kwin figure with the ROC chick head is bizarre

The head swap, along with the Sw boom box image, was done to conceal the Hs. Dunno why the photographer is covering up since we did seen the head before from a previous con if I am not mistaken.

the pics of kwinn are here

also all I've seen is "low price-point assortment mostly targeted for Dollar Stores" and "low price-point assortment at retail outlets like the Dollar General Store."

Don't know why Dollar General has been thrown around as official. Unless I missed something

to conceal the what????

I don't understand why somebody would do the headswap. We have all seen the Kwinn figure before. What is the point? And I don't get why they threw in the Soundwave from the upcoming SDCC release.

seems to me like somebody is just having fun jerking people around playin games

HS as in head sculpt. Check the post above yours to see the proper Kwinn images. It appears that he concealed the head for that thread as a teaser since he shows the proper head in the URL Wolverine had posted. It is silly that he made a teaser of sorts since the head has already been shown

ah okay.. I only saw what we had on our front page. I thought it was another stupid cover up by them since they initially were trying to be all hush hush about them in the first place (refusing to show pics of the back of the package, UPC, date stamp, etc)

I like these too. I think it's silly that people aren't understanding why Hasbro would want a second line out there. The movie Joes are going to be a bit expensive and where I am we have 7 Walmarts, 5 Targets, 2 Kmarts and a TRU. But we have 12 Family Dollar and 10 Dollar General.

I don't think we have any of those stores that would get these... only the 99 cents store, which does not carry anything over 99 cents.. and the dollar tree.. which is REALLY crappy

so if these indeed are a discount store exclusive.. then I will be begging other members here for help :)

That SE look sweet. I will get the green one too. Shipy too maybe. But the Storm SHadow repaint looks more like the VvV ninja to me... forgot his name was grey and orange.

Draven

Your thinking tiger claw, but he is actually based on the card for T'GinZu a ninja force repaint of Stormshadow.

Personally I look forward to him just because of the throwback to such a strange character.
