I remember the USA network got the original Star Wars Trilogy and showed it every Christmas.A long time ago Disny Channel Showed A New Hope as well.

 

Yeah I remember it was 1990 and A New Hope was all but forgotten about.Unless you had the VHS tape it wasn't played on TV.Then Disney showed it.I rememeber it being like 7 years since I had seen it on TV at that point so I watched it the night it aired

I think Showtime ran ESB and ROTJ back in 1992 or 93.NBC ran ESB and ROTJ a few times as well.Of course it was the original versions.

 

 

I remenber it was CBS that first showed Star Wars on free tv back I think in 1985 Then I hadn't watched it again till 1990 when the Disney Channel showed it

 

I had the movie on video but it was a different time in my life where I had a life and had friends and hung out at bars...Boy did that change
