While browsing around I came upon this article about the Top 10 carrying cases and on the list was one for Gobots

Gobots Collector's Case

A vinyl carrying case was all well and good for most '80s lines, but the Gobots were not your normal toys. While frequently belittled as Transformers-come-lately, the Gobots had one thing going for them: heavy metal. The sheer weight of a dozen Gobots in one place was enough to tear a handle off of a cardboard-and-vinyl carrying case like tissue paper. That's probably why the Gobots got this three-story, hard-plastic parking garage with a variety of cubby sizes to accommodate the various-sized vehicles in the line, and stickers with all of the characters' ridiculous, ridiculous names, in case you wanted to know exactly where Hans-Cuff was supposed to go.

They came out before Transformers!! I got a fee, but switched over when Transformers came out!!!

Coming out before them means nothing they still were inferior plus diaclone was around a few years before they hit here

I consider Go-bots to be superior to the Transformers that were in their size class actually. metal, rubber tires on some and some of them actually had pretty interesting transformations for their size. Yes they had guys like Hands-cuff that was pretty much pull out arms and unfold the back end but how much different is he from Windcharger or Gears. Someone like Stinger or Stallion is far more interesting.

Go-bots had a crappy show, they weren't crappy figures.

The thing is it was the cartoon that did them in.If it was better then the gobots would of had a better chance and possibly could of gone toe to toe with G1
