– Rey Mysterio had an MRI done over the weekend but as of yesterday, did not have the results back. Rey is reportedly very worried as it’s the same knee that he has had several surgeries on. We should know more later this week.

– Vince McMahon reportedly does not want John Laurinaitis to have a speaking role on WWE TV anymore as he feels Laurinaitis can’t cut a good promo.

Assuming that Vince does feel like that and it's not just the news reporter's opinion, I agree. Johnny Ace has been terrible in all his promos.

Not to talk bad about Rey, Sin Cara or the WWE but when they first started teasing Sin Cara I figured that the WWE was hoping he might be a replacememnt for Rey. Rey is getting older and has been out with a lot of injures the last couples of years. You can't really blame rey, it's more of the style he wrestles. But merch wise he's one of the leaders and part of it is his look. So the WWE bringing in another Lucha to "tap" into look/style/whatever isn't that surprising and if ery was off TV for any lehgth of time I would bet that they would push Sin Cara.

I don't think Sin Cara can replace Rey. No one can. He has become way too big throughout his career to be replaced by another masked wrestler. If WWE wants to do that, they need to make sure that Sn Cara can last longer than two months in the company without getting caught breaking the drug policy.

As far as i know, Sin Cara desnt even speak English, so I dont know how would he replace someone who has had several feuds that required, at least, to say something.

Never been a fan of WWE Rey. They can cut him off the roster if they want, and I won't be the least bit concerned. I think he is far below World Champion material, and he only got pushed the way he did originally becuase of his ties to Eddy, and now more recently because of his marketability. WWE will likely try to keep him around as long as they can sell masks to little kids. I'm sure they'll find another role for him on TV if he can't wrestle. And once the cash flow stops, WWE will send him off on his future endeavors.

That's what I was talking about Crimson Twins. If the WWE could market Sin Cara like they do Rey, then they wouldn't care if Rey was there or not. But Rey is a HUGE part of their merch trade and without him I can see them trying to go with someone similair. I mean face it, a lot of the guys there today are interchangable as far as looks and personalities go.

The only problem is that Rey and Cara aren't quite interchangeable. Sure they have the mask and high flyer thing going for them, but Rey has been cashing in on the 'little guy' thing for his entire career. I think kids eat that up. They always look at him like the underdog. The whole David vs Goliath thing, even though David's been getting win after win after win after win after win. He's still looked at like the underdog because he's kid sized. And I think that is where a great portion of his marketability comes from. From what I've seen of Cara, he doesn't seem nearly that small, and often times is bigger than the average guy out there. Plus, Rey may be masked, but you see a ton of his face. You can still see his eyes and his usual cheesy grin. It humanizes him on so many levels. Cara comes across as almost a superhero type. He doesn't look like an average guy that trained hard to be able to do above average things. He looks like he was born with those abilities and has always been better than us average people. I might be looking way too deep into all of this, but I just don't feel like those two are interchangeable. That's not to say that the WWE can't find another guy to fill that role. I'm sure they are looking for one at this very minute. It's just not going to be easy to do. While I'm not a fan of him, he does have a lot of charisma, speaks english, appeals to a younger crowd and doesn't try to break away from that, all the while still maintaining his relevance in the 'sport.'
