CM Punk Invades WWE At Comic-Con

Further proof CM Punk is still with the WWE:

According to IGN, during the WWE's Comic-Con presentation, which involved HHH, Rey Mysterio and Bret Hart, CM Punk crashed the party. Punk used a bullhorn to announce himself, and had the WWE title with him. He took the mic, which was designated for fans asking questions, and then spoke. He was not happy that WWE was trying to crown a new champion, and then challenged Rey, or anyone else who wanted to be champ, to head out to Chicago to take him on.

Punk then continued on, questioning HHH and Brain Gewirtz as to why Zack Ryder wasn't on TV. HHH then told Punk that things had changed on RAW and that there was a new regime and told him to call him. Punk responded that he was certain Stephanie had his number.

Did people actually believed that he wasnt?...

I don't know how people got the impression Punk was leaving.

Besides the fact that he made it clear a long time ago he wanted a break and WWE told GLAAD he was leaving, among other things.

Honestly I didn't think WWE had the stones to do this type of storyline.

This appears to be a storyline where the WWE plans to use Social Media to promote this storyline. And it's working too.

i love what they did at sdcc. the story line is also great. its been a long time since i am not into it that much. mostly because triple h became all funny. he is better when he is evil. giving hunter the role of mr,mcmahon is just perfect if you ask me. i thought that punk was leaving at first but when he said he would take the belt with him, i knew that that would not happen. anyway i love the direction it takes. i hope to see more like this.

Oh come on! They ruined it! WWE actually posted this on their website. It would have played so much more better if they pretended it didn't occur. The fact that they paid attention to it takes some of the magic away from what they're doing.

While I see your point, you have to remember that not all WWE fans are going to know what happened at Comic Con. It just happens that most of us are interested in Comic Con as well as wrestling. If they didn't publicize this, there is a huge amount of their audience that would never have known this happened. And what's the use in having a storyline that goes unnoticed?
