July 21, 2011

Warner Bros. Pictures announced that Zack Snyder's Superman movie Man of Steel will be released in theaters on June 14, 2013 and not in December of 2012 as was previously believed.

No other films have been scheduled for that date yet.

Written by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, the anticipated film stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix.

In all seriousness, if this means a better film, I'm all for the wait.

And while you wait, remember how fast Sucker Punch got booted from theatres.

Visionary Snyder needs more time to figure out how to cut out more character depth and plot developement to fit in more slo-mo fight sequences and homoeroticism. And maybe give Luthor a lobster claw for a hand? @loll@

I had no idea there was going to be a Battlestar Galactica movie. Good times.

Never saw Sucker Punch and never intend to. I did like the Watchmen quite a bit though. I felt the slow mo wasn't overly used in that film and when it was used it really added weight to the fight scenes. The opening scene with Comedian getting beat up was amazing.

Goyer an Nolan writing it huh? Snyder directing? Wow. This is gonna suck... I mean blow!! Wait, those are both negative... you get my point then. Goyer and Nolan can't write themselves out of a plot hole if their lives depended on it, and Snyder has some skill in imagery and shot planning... that's about it. I have zero hope this movie will be any good. Besides Batman Begins and Superman Returns, DC movies are sinking fast. That won't stop the masses from flocking to Nolan's next big smelly stinker, "The Dark Knight Rises"... pfft... rises straight up my esophagus and out my mouth.

I didn't know Snyder was doing this film.

...Sigh...Not really a fan. Ultra-violence is way over-rated.

not to mention all the slow motion shots
