Adrianne Palicki Cast As Lady Jaye For G.I.Joe 2

Awesome news.......When it came down to Lady Jaye vs Scarlett........I was always a bigger Lady Jaye fan. She better have some javelins......... #US1# Also she was supposed to be Wonder Woman.....can't be that bad right??

Also just read that Bruce Willis is a "top choice" to play Joe Colton......interesting.

Scarlett is cool, but not the way they did her in the first movie. They always overdo the empowered woman thing these days. And that character wasn't Scarlett anyway. They just wanted an attractive woman to show off a skin-tight uniform.

As for this casting, hopefully she can pull it off. Based on what little bits I've seen of her, I don't see Lady Jaye in her, but we'll see.

It's all in the voice! The voice actress who did LJ's voice in the cartoon had a very distinctive and sexy voice. I don't know htis actress, so I can't really say much.

UPDATE:

Just spent a few minutes looking her up.

As far as the voice.....nothing special, but we'll have to wait and see what she does bring to the character.

VH, I wouldn't call Lj's toon voice sexy, i always thought it was a little mannish, but to each thier own.

It's been confirmed No javelins, and that's an amazingly great thing. The fact that the females in joe don't usually get real weapons is a little sexist. Yes I know femals still are mostly non-combat around the world, but this is Joe and if they are arleady in the field, give them a darn gun!

It will be sad to see scarlet as character to go but just maybe she will be mentioned etc. Se needs that love interest. hopefully she will be paired with flint as well. Scarlet and ripcord pissed me off.

@haha@ Well, that's exactly what it is I guess. I've always appreciated a woman with a somewhat raspy (not man-ish) voice over some squeaky girlish one. I liked LJ's vocals. Baroness is the one with the guttural man-ish sounding voice...imo. ;)

I do appreciate a good accent on a woman, if they have to stick with an international Joe, a strong Irish accent would be amazing. But both baronness and Lady Jaye's accent seemed overpowered by their deeper than average voices Baroness too was a little mannish but looks made up for it, she was the original Dr. Girlfriend. It was actually Jinx who I thought i had the coolest female voice, but she looked mannish, a balancing act here? I'm also willing to accept that a female that is well built and well trained and seasoned might just sound a little tougher than your average girl on the street. These women hang out with millitary men all the time, and so at least their language wouldn't be lady like!

I have seen this girl act as my wife watched the show. I really doubt she can pull off Lady Jaye. She has more of a girly girl type of acting chops. I didn't find her a good Wonder woman because she looked too skinny to be an amazon. And she doesn't look tough enough to be Lady Jaye.

Ok, first off LJ's voice in the cartoon wasn't mannish, it was sultry!!! She reminds me of Demi Moore, and for the most part I doubt any of you would ever call her mannish!!!

I can see the dark haired beauty underneath the fake blonde hair, and I think she can pull it off!!! And I gotta say, they got a pretty good looking dude to play Flint!! They'd make a great pair indeed!!!

she might be able to pull it off I'm just severly dissapointed in the choice for Director

I'm disappointed they didn't bring back Sommers. Say what you will, the man carved himself an awesome franchise with the Mummy movies, and I really think he would've had a full-on blockbuster with ROC if it hadn't been for the Writers tantrum aka Strike.

that's partially what I meant by director's choice Stephen Sommers has made a few movies I adored mainly the Mummy films not sure if he directed the third one. and they signed on a director that has made most of the movies I absolutely cannot stand

As a fan of the animated series in the 80's... LJ was my fav fem. Her action figure from the 80's though... ack.. it's like they didn't know how to make girl figures back then. Horrible. lol Glad to hear LJ's in the next movie. Looking forward to it.
