In your opinion who got the raw deal?

Granted we haven't seen the third film but I'll say right off the bat there are some good candidates.

 

Starscream for being in all three yet not really having a part.

 

Soundwave for being a great character yet virtually ignored in the films.

 

Jazz for being an A lister that was just ripped apart......and a MTV talker.

 

Megatron for basically being a little #@$#@.

 

The twins for being yanked out of the third film after stealing the second.

 

Any other thoughts? My vote goes to Soundwave

You forgot the fans for having to put up with a movie about teenage angst with Robots thrown in for fun.

There is nothing redeemable about the twins.

 

Jazz got the shaft. He died in the first film plus he has such a large fan base and potential.

 

Starscream comes in second, what an extreme waste of a character.

Bumblebee got the rawest deal. Not only could he not talk, but the worst thing was his alt mode was a Camaro. He should have started out as a classic Mustang and later became a newere model Mustang. Preferably, a Shelby Cobra Mustang GT500.

It didn't bother me at all that jazz died; it only makes sense that some characters would die in a war. What bothered me is that he wasn't given enough characterization for anyone to care.

He wasn't in the first movie. I didn't really like seeing him as a pawn of The Fallen, though.

?? The twins were horribly annoying and lame hence their removal from the series.

 

My vote would go to starscream; he could've been a really interesting character but he did next to nothing in the second film and was little more than megatron's lackey in the first. When armada does a character better than the feature film, you know you've got problems.

It didn't bother me at all that jazz died; it only makes sense that some characters would die in a war. What bothered me is that he wasn't given enough characterization for anyone to care.

 

 

Ditto. The autobots didn't mourn him, they didn't even mention him in the second and wasn't he supposed to be 2nd in command? They even rebuilt megatron, they had the spark of life at one point, and no one could save him? or even comment how they wish they could have?

 

Overall I would say bumblebee. Being confused with snake-eyes ruines the character who was too small and shouldn't have been fighting but tried anyways. Bumblebee was supposed to be the little bot who could, not silent protector.
