I may have gotten one.

Guess I don't know how the whole reatail ordering thing works. They say he wasn't "picked up" by retailers....isn't it just a matter of Hasbro sticking him in a wave and the retailers either get the wave or they don't? Oh well.

I was definitely going to pick up a couple. I imagined the BATS as being a kind of drone soldier and the Data Vipers as being the drone operators somewhere far from the battle field. I was gonna buy 10 of the jungle BATS and a few data vipers for the war room.

This was an interesting concept that sparked the imagination. In my opinion that is the mark of a successful figure. It's too bad that they couldn't deliver it to market.

I would have bought him. It's interesting that he "wasn't picked up" by retailers.. I didn't know they could just order each figure or tell Hasbro which ones they didn't want

I'm really confused by the newfound love for this guy. When he was first shown many of his pointed him out as the weakest link, and it seemed most would not buy him. When i first read the news, I was thankful they listened to us. Sounds like they can't please us!

lol So I'm not the only one who remembers this? My first reaction to the news was that maybe Hasbro read the message boards. It was pretty much universal hate. Have to admit I'm a bit dissappointed. I'd warmed up to the figure a little since he was first reveiled.

Not really a surprise. You don't lose a major retailer like Wal-Mart without having to shake some stuff loose.

there is a problem with that idea, wal-mart is supposedly back on board.

I would have picked up at least one but wouldn't go bananas and army build him. It is definitely an interesting looking figure and think it has great sculpting, parts and detail. No real loss to me though and judging by the other comments, I'm not surprised he got axed. Probably a smart move on their part. Hope they use mold and parts for someone else more practical.

Why do you think they cancelled it? Was walmart concerned about promoting "cyber terrorism" or something? Was some executive butt hurt by that concept because their corporate email was hacked?

I honestly may have bought a few of this guy, depending in what he looks like under all that armor stuff. It would be good to have an IT or data guy to fill the Cobra ranks. I mean, somebody has gotta do the real work at ARBCO. .

Y'know something doesn't sound right about this. Why have we never heard, atleast I can't remember ever hearing, about Walmart or any other retailer not wanting a single character not in a case or wave. Does this mean at some point in time if Walmart decided they didn't want Snake Eyes in a wave that Hasbro would go along with that.

I thought he was the figure you were most disappointed in? Buy it anyway?

I think I said he was the ONLY figure I was disappointed in... but I never said I wouldn't buy him ^_^
