pictures of fansproject motormaster are up and chaos/paladin from maketoys is up for preorder.....now upon looking at motormaster I see some very familiar connector joints that are exactly like maketoys giant/devy.....so can we finally say that fansproject and maketoys are one in the same?....

No. They are however affiliated, which has been known. I was told by someone from TFsource at Botcon last year that FP handles the distribution side of things for MT.

they must recycle parts between the two then

I have no doubt their designers collaborate but they are not the same group.

that's a lot of collaborating to have the exact same connector joints #ijs

so looks like superion I mean Uranus is finishing up and looks to be slightly taller than devastator I mean herc, did anyone pick any of those aerial bots up? also unique toys predaking looks pretty good combined, not so much separate but their articulation is awesome, def gonna have to pick up both predakings and have all 3 lol, why does it take so long though, patience is a virtue I guess and since all these 3rd parties wanna do add members and turn everything into 6bot combiner teams where are the seacons.....

Let me start off by saying I love all of Fansprojects toys thus far!

I dont want anyone to get the wrong idea by my post but i will not be purchasing

Any of the retro figures. The picture that i have seen so far looks like a huge

Downgrade from the products we have seen in the past. Maybe with more pictures

I might change my mind, time will tell. What do you guys think? These toys look like the quality

Of the transformers when they started failing as a brand and got cancelled.

I honestly think the Retro line is a bad decision because not only they are styled after the g1 line, they are also based on existing G1 characters that already have their own figures. Seems pointless to buy a retro not-Predaking when one can but the Encore version or the upcoming Hasbro version.

The reason the Third Party are popular mostly because Third Parties would make figures of G1 characters in updated form. An updated Menasor with bots in the style of classics is more likely going to sell better than a 4th bootleg version of Predaking that happens to be done in the G1 toy style.

Here's the image. Upon looking at it again, I might be wrong that it is an unofficial version of Predaking. The figures might be inspired by the Dinobots - a team of prehistoric animals robots.

Yeah you are way off base. They are not based on any pre-existing combiner team. Completely original and they have a headmaster type gimmick.

wow so we now have 3 predakings being done, unique toys, MMC and now TFC, well FP and maketoys might as well jump on as well then, might have to disappoint the wife on this one and deploy so i can afford all 3

don't forget the real one hasbro or is that takara ?.. is putting out again :) personally I think its silly when these guys do this ... have a bit of common sense & if one company is doing one figure do another ... I get with multiple companies out there crap like this is bound to happen once in a while but yeshhh with all of them ...

yeah but i have the import takara 20th anni i think the one with the gold, with almost all of the cdmw addons so i will be interesting to see all of them in a comparisson video whenever they're all released but if tfc's ver. has them with all the same size my money is on him being my fav, not really fond of the idea of razorclaw being bigger than the others, that was what made pred so unique in the first place. Plus we have gotten 2 devy and 2 from takara so knowing that this is typically considered everyones fav combiner i'm not surprised by all 3 doing them i'm just waiting to see who else shows up for the preda party lol

They may have to continue on regardless of what other groups are doing for financial reasons. If most of the their money was tied up in development of a Predaking before another was announced it may not be feasible shelf it and work on something else.

There is actually a potential fourth one: couple of years ago at TF con Justitoys showed off design sketches for a Predaking but there has been nothing since then.
