DCUC Gentleman Ghost question

I was just looking at my sealed Gentleman Ghost figure and noticed that the parts of his cloak that go around his shoulders, on the front of his chest, are fully painted. This confuses me because everyone I've looked at is kind of see through in this area, including my open one, the ones on Ebay and 2 I've seen in the Walmart 2 pack. I found it at a Meijers about 2 months after they were first released. Does anyone know if this is a variant of some sort? I'm a little strapped for cash and have been thinking about selling it. I don't want to since the only reason I bought it was to replace my open one when the white starts to go yellow or dullen over time. I usually buy 2 figures that I know this will happen to. My open one is starting to get a little yellowish already on the parts that aren't painted.

Any info about this variant would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I'm starting to think since the majority of the ones I've seen are phasing that this might be a first release.

I just went through the completed listings on evilbay and found one in a close up of asealed one that looks like mine, it didn't go for anything different than the others. I then found a loose one from someone called crowgirl and this one was fully painted in that area as well.

Odd.
