mortal combat

I was hoping for individual carded ones. I want the Cyborg pack for sure, though a little disapointed with Smokes's color.

Yeah, I guess they decided to use the MK9 storyline and put in robot Sub-Zero, even though it says Smoke.

Wasn't robot smoke MK1 Subzero in the original MK timeline. So I don't see what the problem is it is Smoke either way. Not to be an ass, but the pack does say mortal kombat classics, I assume is referring to the original storyline

Nope. Original sub is Noob. Cyber Smoke is Smoke. You may be getting it confused because in the storyline MK3 Subby is Smokes best buddy and he gets chosen to be turned instead of subby. In MK9 they do a switcheroo and alter it and save smoke instead of sub zero. Oddly that was the only real deviation from the original storyline essentially, minus the whole raiden having the knowledge of the future and all.

whats with the new politics like we dont show pictures of upcoming products? is that new? bbts has some preorders for so manny mortal kombat figures listed for november but i doubt that anything will get out this year. same with the street fighter 2 packs. what is that all about? mattel talks big about the new dc figs for 2012 but i saw nothing yet. jazwars are the worst do.

I saw the 4" figures tonight. I also saw Johnny Cage in the 6" line for the first time. He looks pretty good except for his feet.

TRU had Scorpion and Sub-Zero in the 4" single carded figures and the Cyber Ninja 3-pack. Smoke is definitely blueish, but it doesn't seem that bad to me. I was really tempted by this one. If I get it, I'll probably get all the 4" figures.

Sub-Zero 6" still looks good, but I can't bring myself to drop $15 on him when the rest of the line is mediocre. Maybe I'll do the 4" line.

I saw those 4" figures, and they were $10. How is that a good price compared to $15 for a figure twice its size?

Yeah, pricing is really hurting action figures these days. In no time at all, they've really all kinda turned into a ripoff. GI Joes are the last decent buy you'll find. Everything else is overpriced, some by quite a lot.

I'd say NECA figures are also worth it for $15 for the most part. Just picked up the new Assassin's Creed Ezio figure, and with all the articulation and paint he is one awesome figure. That's another thing I can't understand, DC figures are supposed to be the same price as these? They don't even compare.

oh what the heck i just ordered the 3 6inch figures. i cant put my mind at ease until i see them in person. i see some pics and they look ugly and then i see some pics and they look great. so i have to see them once in person so i can make a final judgement.

I highly recomend that if your able to go to a TRU to buy them you should do that. There are QC issues you may want to look at the packages before buying. The one I got of the Cybers are fine, but I had to look thru the boxes. Some had messed up elbows and paint smugges(not major but a little noticeable). If you order online you don't know what may get.

thanks man but sadly i am in europe and jazwares doesnt know about overseas fans.lol. when it comes to paint i can help myself because i do paint figures most of the time. now i just hope to get no qc problem because that will be a #@$#@. i ordered them on bbts. if i have a big issue i cant solve then they replace it. awesome guys at bbts i must say.

i got my 6inch set yesterday and i must say that they arent perfect but i really love them. they did a great detail work. ok they have to learn a lot do. paint is ok but with such detailed sculpts paint can make wonders. then articulations are weirdly placed. they work fine but could be better. some are allready loose on my articulations. i tryed out some poses and now they are allready loose. hmmm maybe look into that jazwares. also it seems to me that they used a soft plastic on the arms and legs but not for the hands?? i had a hard time to put sub-zero's sword in his hands, same goes for scorpion. well all these things are kind of a let down but i can fix a lot of it. the figs are great to me with minor issues but marvel legends who is claimed to be the perfect line had a lot of issues to so they are great figures for me. i hope that after all the negativety on these that jazwares still moves on and tries to make them better. they have to do more. i saw that cage is out. i saw some on ebay and if i find a good deal then i get him.

Just saw the 6" four pack in TRU yesterday. They did not look good at all! The main problem was the head sculpts. Their eyes have this surprised look, like "Oh crap! I'm gonna die!" Scorpion and Reptile have alt heads but still not to great of a pack.

That's exactly what I thought, but I'd like to add that their gorilla sized hands didn't help either. They couldn't even just sculpt fists for them?
