I opened this up last nite to take out the Sinestro to sell to a buddy. Sinestro looks more freakish than the wave 3 one, so I'll just stick with that, but hot damn the Hal is awesome beyond belief. I was all the Green Lanterns were metallic, but it goes beyond that with shiny back suit and pearlescent gloves and painted eyes!

Well, in all fairness you are getting a "corrected" Sinestro and a pretty good selection of ring constructs for each figure. You factor in that with the Hal, and its not so bad. Especially if you're a fan.

 

How is it fair? The parts are reused anyway so its no big charge to Mattel and it was their fault or the factories fault for the smaller than expected Sinestro. The constructs are also reused and aren't such a big cost factor to make a figure which is 15.00 shoot up to 20.00. I think it is more of a Toys R US than a Mattel thing, also not sure how the stylized packaging plays into cost either. Either way I sure wish thes were 30.00 even.

I broke down and bought one myself, despite the ridiculous price. The metallic Hal does nothing for me, never cared much for metallic paints except in limited situations. I like the height on Sinny, though the arms are screwy, and I wish they'd gone with more sculpted and less painted detail (like on his boots, f'r instance). Still...beats Shrimpestro any day, IMO.

If anyone is not crazy about the extra constructs, I'll buy them off you! I'm specifically looking for the green buzzsaw, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Got mine in the other day and finally opened them. I like the constructs more than I thought. Sinestro is weird like many people state but it doesn't bother me too much because he is an alien. The major problem with Sinestro is how thick his neck is in comparison to his pin sized head.
