So NOW what?

Now that Big Bad Toystore has POC wave 4 in stock, what will be next?

Yeah, I just found wave 3 this week at Target, but if BBTS has wave 4 already, then we should be finding them within a couple weeks...

and then we will have everything...

so now what?

I am a bit disappointed and worried about a very long hiatus ahead (much like the 7 month drought between the end of the 25th line and the start of ROC movie stuff).

They showed us everything from POC wave 1-4 a LONG time ago.. and they didn't show anything upcoming at NYCC a couple months ago.. so what do they have planned now?

And a great deal of the POC stuff they gave us was actually leftover stuff from ROC... so yeah, the figures have been great, even the vehicles have been too (although a bit expensive).. but they really haven't done much new stuff...

is GiJoe STILL recovering from ROC??? or what

Not worried in the least. I welcome hiati (I made that word up). In fact, I applaude it. I'd much rather wait in anticipation for cool new stuff than worry that I'm being deluged with so much new product that I can't keep up (the way OTHER toy lines do so often). They're doing everything right with GI Joe IMO.

I'm not really worried, after all it's not like the transition from ROC to POC where Hasbro decided to pull back and wait. We know Renegades is coming but we've been told that it could be Summer or Fall. We'll find out more at Febs Toyfair. What it really seems it that Hasbro has so many brands coming out besides Joe that they want to focus on one brand at a time. So with that said Well see focus on Cap, Thor, TF movie and then Joe. Although I do think having no toys for Renegades on the shelf and the show itself on a channel that almost no ones gets is not helping the brand as a whole.

Yeah, its still kinda lame when you go to the store and have no reason to go to the toy aisle you know.........My fiancee is always like "You going to toys?" and its kinda disappointing when I say "Na, I got everything right now." The hunt is always a little fun. Breaks are cool as long as they aren't too long. I think the last time I bought a Joe was September???

I welcome hiati (I made that word up).

I hadn't really thought about another Hiati coming. Since the new Renegades Cartoon was on, I was thinking some kind of Renegades product would be coming soon. It's true that I haven't seen any Renegades product previews though so now I'm wondering too if there will be another Hiati?

Breaks are good. I am still behind and my toy budget is limited. I am finally catching up though. Aside from a couple Alley Vipers ( i don't have a single one) i got what i wanted from waves 1-3. I'll wait a bit on wave 4 sadly, but I think i'll finally buy a whole wave on that one. I also am starting to have my stuff from Ky up here. That means some customs again!

You have misused my made up word :)

I was using hiatus in the plural, more than one. "I welcome more hiati". :P

Technically, yours should read, "I hadn't really thought about another [one] hiatus coming".

OR change your "another"s to "other"s and you'll be just fine.

It's like fungus and fungi. Hiatus, hiati.

I do, however, appreciate that my made up word has cought on with someone.!

I find it hard to believe there will be a big hiatus becuase WM kept Joe on the planagrams at the larger stores.

well some haven't got wave 3 or 4 yet so that really doesn't mean much. they had spots for joe when we had the 7mo gap. the big thing is that some walmarts are not carrying joes anymore.

None of them have to my knowledge, but if Hasbro did not have stuff in the wings, WM would dump it completely! Thats teh way they are!

no... that isn't how they do it. GiJoe hasn't been canceled and as long as they sell any, Walmart won't stop selling them.

Even when the 25th stuff ended, they didn't stop selling them or take down the pegs or anything.. and they had 7 months before the ROC movie stuff came along.

My wal-mart sells very little toys period, a few transformers, star wars and hotwheels and beyblade crap, and that's it. one aisle for guys (a small all) and one small aisle for girls/ and babies and that's it.

I think that has more to do with Walmart Co. in general is cutting down their toy section a great deal. Several stores around me have cut down on action figures from 2 full aisles to less than 1/2 of one!

One of the stores that I used to go to all the time dropped a lot of their action figures last year after Xmas (Including GiJoe and Marvel Universe). I went their again this week to find that they have cut down their action figures even further. Now they have less than 1/2 an aisle for action figures, the rest is Legos and stuff (which used to be on a completely seperate aisle). I think the only figures they sell now are Star Wars and Ironman.

So it may be very well be likely that a ton of stores will be dropping GiJoe... but not Walmart as a company.
