Yep heard they are out but $35 now!! @grumpy@ Great TRU raising prices again (ML 2 packs, MOTU/DC 2 packs).

hal had so manny costumes lately why not do a yellow one or a blue one he also had orange and white. i dont get why they didnt do a yellow version of sinestro either. well maybe sinestro will be in the so rumored third wave of green lantern classics. who knows. rumor goes that mattel does a best of wave with wave 3. maybe they repaint them in other colors because i dont wanna buy another green hal after this one.

 

Based on the packaging, they are recreating the iconic pose and rivalry of hal vs sinestro.

 

I am actually really underwhelmed by the constructs mainly because they are not really constructs they are just accessories from other figures molded in green and yellow plastic. They don't come from the ring and they look crappy. I just want a Sinestro corps corrected sinestro any way so this pack is now a big pass for me

 

i love em. EXCEPT ONE. It makes no sense for the wrench to be in yellow. Yellow is about power, destruction, fear and a wrench is used to fix things. The wrench should have been green. Make the ball and chain yellow.

 

The wrench is yellow because the weapon is carried over from one of the metalmen. Since the wrench is intended for Iron's right hand, MAttel just repainted yellow since Sinestro's ring is on the right.

i guess that's the method to their madness, but it's silly. Katma comes with a sword and shield...one item for each hand.

I remember reading a story where Sinestro uses a wrench construct to choke someone...or was it a cartoon or am I just making things up.

Thirty-seven bucks and change for this huge waste! Yeah. The Buyer's Remorse is definitely settling in! For those thirty seven bucks you get...

 

 

1. A shiny Hal Jordan that no one asked for and no one wants. This thing will get chucked to the back of a shelf where I'll forget I own it within about ten minutes.

 

2. A bunch of junky repainted accessories. I'm surprised Mattel didn't paint He-Man's sword yellow and throw it in.

 

3. An apology Sinestro that they should've gotten right the first time!

 

Overall, I really, really wanted a good Sinestro, but even so, I couldn't recommend this set. Definitely not a good buy for your money.

Just picked this set up in Ct wanted the Sinestro (eventhough I have the first one) but didnt need the Hal!

Just picked mine up today. 34.99$ at my local MN tru. I'm really liking what I got. This is my favorite hal I own, cause I like the glow of him. My 2nd favorite is the 5 pack one. The Sinestro is a pleasent surprise. Looks really nice, mines kinda shiny too. Overall I'm glad I bought it. Took these with my phone too. So they dont look the best.

I found this set at a TRU in Kennesaw, GA. This is definately my FAVORITE 2 Pack ever made for DCUC!

Picked mine up today, Love it. I was suprised to see Hal's eyes aren't totally whited out this time. I didn't catch that in the pics earlier.

Awesome day today! So I'm off work and New York was recently pounded with a ton of snow, so it would have been REALLY easy to sit at home in bed all day today. But my eyes popped open and something told me to use my time wisely and go searching for this Hal/Sinestro set at the local TRU two stops away from me on the subway. So I trekked out in the snow, get there a little after 11am, and lo and behold! ONE set left. Laying on top of Marvel Legends 2-packs, just homeless.

 

It's $40.99 here in NY, but I got a $50 gift card to TRU for Christmas, so I didn't really pay out of pocket and still have about $5 left over.

 

I couldn't care less that the constructs are reused metal men parts, the translucency makes them look different and it's a cost-effective way to add constructs for lantern corps characters that didn't have any packaged with their original release. At least some effort is there. I think there will be an upturn in constructs because they see how necessary and in-demand they are. I think this 2-pack is the first indication of them recognizing the demand.

 

I would also like to hope they do a yellow-costumed Sinestro Corps variant of THIS Sinestro figure, cause his blue costume really does look out of place with the rest of his Corps. But as someone who never got the original blue-costumed Sinestro figure (SO pricey on eBay!), this was a treat, since he's been featured in this costume forever. But would like the option to unify him with his Corps in costume solidarity, so let's see that variant!

I didn't see this post before. Alot of people are saying this Hal Jordan is there go to figure for Hal Jordan now, so you can't really say no one wants him. Also, the constructs are not "junky" repainted accessories. They look alot different with the see through yellow and green. I am just glad they finally fixed Sinestro like they said they would. This 2 Pack is definately my favorite out of all the DCUC 2 Packs.

Well I got the Sinestro from ebay. Very dissappointed that they basically just reused the deadman mold with the previous Sinestro body.

 

His boots are just painted on instead of sculpted like the previous release. I did a simple swap of the lower legs below the knees and now have the sinestro they should've released in the first place. It didn't sacrifice the hieght, but still it is kinda annoying seeing the markings on the arms and legs of the deadman parts.

 

I do like the eyes in Hal Jordan's Mask, kinda like a Alex Ross version. I would probably count the tru cancelled Tux Joker and Walmart Aquaman as Ross inspired. I just swapped the metalic head and put it on the regular Hal body so he would fit in with the other lanterns.
