OK...When does GL Classics Wave 1 hit the pegs?

HO HO HO santa has arrived. not knowing anything, i came home last night and as always i did a little cooking, huged my battle cat and kissed my woman. then my woman gave me a package and i was done cooking,huging and kissing. big package with bbts written on and wow, i have them.

 

-kyle is the best of them all.

-abin sur is great. only complaint about him was that his chest wasnt well painted. fixed allready.

-manhunter is also great but a little bit small. he could be a head higher.

-arkillo is perfect. sad about that his mouth isnt closing but who cares.

-black hand is also great but the batman head would have been awesome.

-mongul is not a favorite of mine. realy to small.

-low and mash are also great, cant wait to have the second body to expose both of them.

 

all in all i love this wave. the only thing missing are some constructs. like the batman skull. most of the time mattel things about this stuff but not this time. i cant wait for wave 2 to hit. oh and since it was the first time i ordered on bbts, i must say that i will continue to buy from them. good experience.

I just thought you have Deadman and MM positioned so perfectly. Cause it looks like deadman has four arms and that mm's cape is part of his. Even the legs are in the right spot. I just thought it was funny, but nice display. I wish I had all those blackest night figs.

lol that picture is great with deadman and his four arms. it looks like black lantern goro. the poneytail is missing do. lol nice set up, i was thinking about getting deadman from dc direct because in a way i feel that mattel wont do him. all the others are possible but deadman means an entire new sculpt and they cant reuse his body parts. dont know if i should get him. still thinking about it.

Funny, I didn't realize that the BL Deadman was in that position in the pics, it does look cool now that you mention it. I must praise DCD on the added articulation of the BL Hawkman figure.

Is walmart supposed to have Green Lantern Classics? It'd be kinda funny of them to have wanted two very desirable Lanterns like Guy and Alan Scott as exclusives (not to mention an entire Green Lantern themed exclusive box set) and then not carry the series.

Got my CornerStore order today. Its weird the packages are 2 inches bigger than the DCUC packages. I like how Low and Maash come in their own packaging with each other's head and hands as accesories. Its a nice touch for Carded Collectors (although, really you guys should open your toys...) The Abin Sur is posed awkward in his blister, leading to dreaded bent knee syndrome. But overall everybody looks great and I'm pleased with the wave.

Yeah, my friend from CA hasn't heard anything about his order either. And I didn't get any notice from CSC about it. All I got was a shipping notice e-mail from UPS that said a package was on the way. I had to figure out on my own it was from CS and that it was my GL wave. Bizarre.

It sucks for the people who spent over $200 on Ebay, just for BBTS to have this GLC Wave 1 a week later for $90. I got my entire set from BBTS right when they put them up for sale. I am loving this series. I can't wait for Wave 2 to come out, and I can't wait for Wave 3 to be announced!

They've already said there wouldn't be a Wave 3.

I was upset to see that I wasn't able to immediately spend my Christmas money on Bigbadtoystore.com's GL Classics Wave 1, but found a set online for $99 including Priority Mail shipping. Not bad. May be a tad bit less than retail if you figure I'm not paying tax.

Well crap. I finally got the nerve to boil the stuck hand on my Mongul figure, and I managed to get the hand to loosen without breaking it off. But then once I wasn't distracted by the stuck hand, I tried to figure out why the figure didn't want to stand up straight, and it turns out my figure has two right calves. FFS, quality control.

 

I've e-mail BBTS to see if they can replace the figure.

I saw a lone Manhunter Robot out in the wild at Wal-Mart at a North Ga Wal-Mart in Ellijay. First I have seen of these. And they definitely stand out with bigger packaging than DCUC and it being bright green...

I saw these at a collectors shop in New Jersey, they had at least four sets worth and all the Kyle's were bought up. I didn't buy them because I ordered these online and I am waiting for CSC to get them in, I sure hope they don't hit the same time as Wave 16 for CSC.

My sister works at Target whhere they are in the middle of a major toy restock. Anyway, she got a bunch of the discarded boxes to use while she's moving. While I was in town helping, I noticed one of the boxes was an action figure shipping box from Mattel but the only markings were the product numbers and the letters "GR" (for Green?).

 

The box seemed a little small for 6" scale figures, but I can't think of any other line Matty's putting out with those initials. I would run to Target to check on it, but since yesterday about a foot to a foot and a half of snow has fallen. So the "GR" figures, at least for me, will remain one of life's great mysteries for at least a week.

 

Those were most likely Generator Rex Figs...

 

GL Classics aren't in their system still as of today. I keep a picture of a upc and check on the scanner periodically.

 

Found them at walmart and TRU in the Sacramento area last week.

well, I am bumming hard. I ordered these from a place called toy arcade on Dec 29 he shipped them but usps lost them. He refunded me, but I really wanted these and I got them for a good price too.
