New G.I.Joe: Pursuit Of Cobra Wave 3 Figure Images

Ugh...

The first two waves were friggin' awesome, and now they give us this crap?

Duke doesn't look bad as a figure, other than the ugly blue armor, but his accessories suck.

SE is the same thing we've been given by Hasbro over and over and OVER and OVER again...just with a slightly different uniform. His accessories are nice, but I don't know if this figure differs enough from the ten other SE's I have in this style to make it worth buying.

SS looks like some junk left over from VvV. Worst figure in this line so far.

The Shock Trooper is the only redeeming factor of this wave. Great uniform, great color scheme, and awesome gear. I'll be buying a couple of them.

Well, Storm Shadow is kind of meh--but I am marking out for the rest--yes, including Duke and Snake-eyes. Love that Snake-eyes in fact, but then I am a shameless SE mark.

I like the sly Predator/Aliens theme going on with some of these figures. From what I have read on a few sites, its brought a spark to the line and kindled some real interest.

The Shock-viper seems too conventional to me though--too ordinary. COBRA has always had a sort of over-the-top aesthetic to their designs, and this one looks more like it should be a new Shockwave figure instead.

Duke sucks. I don't get how Duke is now a heavy missle anti-aircraft dude... I also don't like the body armor. If he didn't have the armor, he might be redeemable. I do like the head sculpt though.

Cobra Shock Trooper is nice. I'll scoop a few of them up, especially since the Alley Vipers dried up so so so fast.

I am actually really digging the Snake Eyes. I like him alot.

and Stormy is well... one of the crappiest figures I have ever seen. That's a big fat 0 for 2 for Storm Shadow figures in POC.. I don't get why they keep trying to make him so damn funky. He just sucks.

oh.. and in 3 waves so far.. they gave us 2 Dukes, 3 Snake Eyes, and 2 Storm Shadows...

thanks.

we would much rather have all these dudes over and over instead of somebody like a POC Gung Ho or Roadblock... or heave forbid more awesome 25th-esque figures like the upcoming Lowlight

actually 4 snake eyes, cause this one has a varient with the ninja visor!

I actually like the SE. It has more detail than the v1 figure, but is close enough that it can take it's place on my shelf. The problem here is that as much as I like him (and I will buy him if i can find him) I would prefer a city strike scarlet etc. over him. Or heck some repacks form wave 1 that i've never found.

Duke has a nice head sculpt sure... but why does he need another one? why not just pick the resolute one and just the head sculpt, let's keep some contunity here! His accessories are odd and unrelaistic for this line, they seem entirely out of place.

While a lot of people like the shock viper, I just don't get him. His waist looks too skinny, and I keep seeing a darker blue version of spytroops widescope every time i look at him. Why does Cobra have so many versions of urban troops? especially when tons of people are adding firefly to that urban/army builder class.

SS is a pathetic throw away, but he is for the kids. Shame we couldn't have got a Ninja force SS, or a good attempt at a JVC wave 1 ss.

Why is this wave only 4 pieces? is that a bad sign? Makes me a little nervous, especially since we have essentially seen almost no new product in a year as this was mostly hold over stuff.

I like the sly Predator/Aliens theme going on with some of these figures.

Definitely.

Aside from the obvious Predator nod, jungle themes just seem to lend themselves very well to military figures, and all of the cool accessories that tie into that environment. I think that's part of what made the first Predator movie so great...the setting. I just recently watched the new Predator movie, "Predators", and that movie wouldn't have been nearly as cool as I thought it was if it had taken place in a suburban setting like Predator 2 did. Admittedly, after watching it, it got me even MORE interested in these new GI Joe figures. @lol@

I agree to some extent, but the conventional uniform is also the thing that appeals to me in this figure. These Shock Troopers are gonna look pretty bad@ss lined up with all of their accessories.

SERPENTOR, HAWK, FLINT, BIG BOA!!! i was happy that you made ZARTAN, but made him corny as hell!!! the 25th Ann. were the GREATEST COMEBACK... you gave that all up when you did these Stupid R.O.C. crap!! and why are you making them only 3-4 figures per WAVE??? enough of the Snake Eyes's & Storm Shadow's PLEASE make some female characters!!!

Snake Eyes is tempting but I could choose five that I already have from the past few years that are equally as cool--just in a different way. I gotta draw the line on him. They're just gonna keep making him and they're all going to look awesome.

Shock Viper seems kinda redundant if you've already spent money on an Alley Viper army.

Just the fact that Duke comes with a Pulse Rifle is awesome. I actually think he's a pretty neat looking figure in general and should be able to be re-purposed pretty easily.

The Snake Eyes is not bad either - I like the options of heads and he'll be the first and likely only version I'll buy from the new line. The Storm Shadow though I can sum up in two words: who cares?

The Shock Trooper is a neat concept but too generic or bland for me I think. He's kind of like the PIT Trooper or something. Yeah, he comes with lots of neat stuff, but I don't have the room or inclination to army-build this guy. There's nothing about him that screams "COBRA" to me.

I probably bought the last Storm Shadow I'll ever need about a dozen Storm Shadows ago so there's nothing about this one that makes me feel I need another.

Duke is very close to that same Storm Shadow level. I bought Jungle Duke however because he was so darn cool. This one's going to have to win me over when I see it in person. Already its starting with a deficit given those stupid looking accessories.

Now Snake-Eyes HAS hit that Storm Shadow level a LONG time ago, but THIS is the Snake-Eyes I've been waiting for my whole life so I'll be getting him. Once again, I'm reminded at how cool it would be to revisit the Original 13 in POC form!

The Cobra Shock Trooper looks great and the accessories alone are worth it. Hopefully he won't be as hard to find as Wave 1's Alley Viper.

Does anyone know if the Pursuit of Cobra cardbacks are smaller than the 25th anniversary cardbacks ?

POC cardbacks are smaller than 25th Ann. cardbacks.

Are the 25th cardbacks also wider than the pursuit of cobra card backs ? Are the 25 th anniversary cardbacks about the same size as a 2010 vintage collection star wars figure ?

Guys I understand the frustration at having another SE, SS and Duke but they sell and others don't. You have to remember that each figure is individually coded now and that companies can tell exactly what figures sell and what figures don't.

From my birdseye view, it's always the Duke, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and even Destro figures that clog the pegs when I visit the aisles?
