Mail-away Vintage Boba Fett

Has anyone received their 2010 mail-away Vintage Boba Fett yet? These appear to be popping up all over Ebay. I sent my check in on July 6th and it was cashed on July 28th. How long do these mail-away figures usually take to arrive from when checks are cashed?

According to the PDF I downloaded from Hasbro, six to eight weeks.

The question is, is that six to eight weeks from sending in the payment or from the actual cashing of the check?

If this is true I will get it around Halloween

Here's what it says:"Your exclusive Rocket Firing Fett will be mailed to you approximately 6-8 weeks from receipt of your redemption request."

Thanks! Do you know if there's a customer service number that can be called?

I sent mine in right around the first of July and haven't gotten him yet. I expect we'll see him in the next week or two tops.

There isn't anyone to call though b/c the mail-order warehouse is a separate operation from Hasbro proper.

I figure the ones showing up now were those who got the order forms when the new wave first showed up which was the last week or two of June.

I just called the main Hasbro customer service number (800-255-5516). I was informed that it will take 10-12 weeks from the date that the check is actually processed. So it indeed will be awhile!

  • 2 weeks later...

If I counted right I won't see mine till possibly late next month.I possibly will send out for a second one to keep on the card

I still have my vintage Boba (non-rocket-firing of course), so I only got one to keep carded. He's a neat fig for historical reasons, but I didn't think it worthwhile to get a second to open.

Thought I'd bump to say I got my Boba Fett in the mail today... and it's completely smashed.

Yep, Hasbro's distributors slid the carded figure into the skinniest and flimsiest box possible. It arrived completely crushed at the top. Once I opened it I found a folded card and a smashed bubble that was almost entirely separated from the card back. Great job - way to save a penny! @cussing@

That sucks, Dake--very sorry to hear that. Crossing my fingers that mine shows up intact.

Yeah - I'm not even a MOC collector really, but since I have my loose vintage one I thought it'd be cool to keep this one nice. I just super-glued the bubble back to the card and will probably call it good enough, but it's still unfortunate.

Sadly, from reports at other sites, it sounds like an un-molested package is the rarity. Apparently, these are shipped out as bulk mail aka "junk" mail. It's no wonder they get mangled.

Just curious when the mail in offer expires and does it count for CLone wars upc's? There's just nothing i'm interested in right now... all i have is a upc from K'kruhk.

All requests must be postmarked by April 30, 2011. So you've got some time. They accept UPCs from everything back to the last wave's red and white or blue and white colored cards. I had a ton left over from the Qui Gon w/Eopie mail-in which I skipped and used them up.
