SWCV: Hasbro Star Wars Product Panel (With Images)

by JayC

Hear from the Hasbro Design and Marketing teams about what's in store for the remainder of 2010. They will also offer a special sneak peek into some 2011 secrets. Featuring Derryl DePriest and Chad Donvito of Hasbro Marketing, and Brian Parrish, Mark Boudreaux, Brian Merten, Andrew Franks, Shawn Scott, Dave Reeves, and Vickie Stratford of Hasbro Design.

- They start off thanking the fans and want everyone to know that Vintage is back.

- The new look of black and blue packaging to go along with Clone Wars.

- 2010 will be more focused but also be a CELEBRATION.

- 3 3/4" Clone Wars -

- All the basic figures have the Galactic Battle Card Game.

- We are covering this panel live, so refresh your browser often over the course of the next hour for the latest updates. The game will be with every single carded figure but Vintage.

- There will be 32 new Clone Wars figures in 2010.

- Wave 2 has Kit Fisto, Mace Windu, Droid Commander,

- Wave 3 will have Ki0Adi Mundi,m Clone Trooper Pilot and Flame Thrower Clone

- Wave 4 Shaak To. oung Boba Fet, r4-P17, Embo and Mando Trooper

- Wave 5 - Zombie Geonosian with wings you can pull off and Clone Draa, Cato Parasitti and Clone Commander Jett

- Look for the figure mail-away for Clone Wars to be Sergeant Bric Clone, a bounty hunter hired by Kaminoans to train Clone cadets. Also has a Galactic Battle Mat that holds 16 figures.

- Clone Wares figure vehicle packs will see all-new vehicles in the Spring. Look to see the new ones at Toy Fair in Feb.

- Battle Packs you can look to see Mandolorian Troopers and Arc Troopers

- Vehicles you can expect the second wave in October and include AAT, Hyena Bomber, AT-AP and Clone Swamp Speeder.

- Wave 3 in November will include Xanadu Blood and Plo Koon Starfighter.

- Wave 4 will include a new Droid Gunship that opens at the top and place a gunner in it and a new deco Droid-Tri Fighter. This will be out in December.

- Jedi Turbo Speeder will be out in January 2011. The fins in the back will rotate up and down and it will hold two people in the front and a droid. There will also be storage panels in the back.

- The Hailfire Droid R/C is out now.

- Legacy Collection, Vintage Collection -

- Look for 37 Vintage figures, 27 new or resuclpted and 10 that are re-releases that they thought were good enough for the Vintage line.

- Wave 2 is a Revenge of the Sith wave.

- Wave 2 has Darth Sidious, Anakin, General Grievous, Magna Guard. Look for a running change on Anakin to be renamed Darth Vader

- Wave 3 has Obi-Wan, Sandtrooper, Clone Trooper and Commander Cody. Sandtrooper isn't from ROTS.

- Wave 3 also has Gamorrean Guard, Admiral Ackbar and Jedi Luke. Luke has articulation in the wrists. Wave 3 will be out in January 2011.

- Gentle Giant apparently was not so generous with the Lucas Archives.

- Wave 3 also has Woof Skiff Guard, R2-D2 with pop up lightsaber and dring tray and Rebel Commando with soft-good coat. R2 has a lightsaber hilt and is smaller than past versions. When you rotate the dome the lightsaber can be hidden in the dome and the 3rd leg pops out and when you push the leg in it pops the lightsaber out. There is also a para-scope. Compartments in his chest opens and reveals an arc welder and he has classes for his tray.

- Wave 3 also has Wicket and Wedge Rebel Pilot. Wedge has been delayed to re-sculpt the head. So Wedge will likely be early next Spring though they are still trying for the fall.

- Vintage mail-away will be the Kenner looking Rocket Fire Boba Fett.

- Vehicles for vintage include the Snowspeeder and Twin Cloud Car which are both out on shelves now.

- Also the new Deluxe AT-AT which is also out on shelves.

- Sales on the AT-AT have been fantastic

- Force FX Lightsabers -

- They have removable blades and a belt clip for the hilt.

- Galactic Heroes wave 3 has a new Luke and Darth Vader, Senate Commando & Aqua Battle Droid and Training Clone and Sgt Bric plus one 2 pack they can't reveal.

- Also look for the Baby AT-AT for the Galactic Heroes line which is on shelves now.

- Role Play will see Boba Fetts helmet and Blaster along with Grievous Spinning Lightsaber which are all out on shelves now.

The new individual figures look amazing and have more for the money because they come with a base and a card .

Did I read somewhere that Vintage Wave 3 won't be out until January??? I hope I'm wrong, but that seems like a looong time since we already have wave 1 in our hands! G.Guard looks amazing and nobody wants to wait that long for him!

I'm definitely digging that Turbo Speeder, but outside of that and a few figures here and there I should be able to save a little money over the course of the year.

I would like to pick up the bomber, but it will likely be 50 bucks (like the Interceptor), so I may have to be content with the one I have now.
