SHOCKWAVE (BOOSTER GOLD'S CLASSIC VILLAIN)

I think this guy is the same Shockwave who first appeared as a Blue Devil villain. If so, I've long felt that he would make a GREAT BAF. It's too bad he's not better known. Of course TRUE Super Powers fans will know that Shockwave was one of those figures that never happened from the classic line's never-realized fourth wave.

As to a Post-SDCC2010 wish list, like most of us, I could probably name the entire DCU but just to pare that list down to the essentials here they are...

Golden Age Flash: This is probably the most significant absence from the current crop of available JSA figures. I'm sure he's coming, but until he's officially announced, he'll remain on my wish list.

Kid Flash: Now that we have that great Classic Robin coming, we really need to revisit Kid Flash.

Mon-El: I'm ecstatic that we're getting a big batch of Legionnaires, but Mon-El is badly needed here.

Classic Bizarro: I know I might have to be satisfied with the DCSH Bizarro, but I never really warmed up to this zombie interpretation. I'd like to see him revisited even if it's only to give him the Cyborg Superman treatment.

Dr. Light: I'm talking about the classic JLA and Teen Titans villain. One of the most POORLY treated characters in all of comics!

Chronos: I love some of those absurd Silver Age costume designs and Chronos has one of the absurdest!

Stel: A Green Lantern who's also a robot would make a GREAT action figure!

Doctor Polaris: I'd like to see the classic Doctor Polaris with the Galactus antlers!

The Wrath: I know this is a real longshot. He's a very cool but obscure Batman villain from one of my all-time favorite Batman stories.

Speedy: Again, after seeing Classic Robin, I want this guy more than ever.

You know, we always think about the figures, but what about letting them know that some accesories would be pretty cool ideas also.

I have thought about (like in the MOTUC) some "weapons" packs, or in any other case an "accessory" packs, like GREEN LANTERN or SINESTRO constructs (have been thought a lot before) or new light-up LED power batteries, maybe some BATMAN's Bat-gear, Superman's Laser vision or a "super blow", The FLASH's light speed lightning, more GREEN ARROW trick arrows, HAWKMAN's medieval gear like the chain mace or the crossbow, RED TORNADO's fist cyclones and a super torso tornado, METAMORPHO's chemical consructs, FIRESTORM's nuclear blasts, DOCTOR FATE's magic spells, generic flight stands or energy blasts, et al....

how about those, which ones are yours?

How about some vehicles?

The BATMOBILE anyone?

I hate making exhaustive lists, so I'll just break it down to figures I MUST HAVE in order to truly be happy with my DCUC collection and in order for it to be considered truly complete.

I MUST HAVE my basic New Gods line up, so...

Highfather

Metron (with chair)

Black Racer

And I need to wrap up the JLA, so...

Phantom Stranger (not a member, but always a major ally)

Elongated Man

And of course, I want to finish the JSA, so...

Sandman (GA)

Flash (GA)

Atom (GA)

Other all-time favorites I really must have include:

Kobra

Shade the Changing Man (original 70's costume)

Merlyn the Archer

Manhunter (Goodwin/Simonson version)

Figures I need to complete already-started line ups or teams:

Elasti-Girl

Madame Rouge

The Brain

Monsieur Mallah

Capt. Marvel Jr.

And finally, ones I'd love and that would make my collection truly perfect, though I doubt we'll see these made:

Black Orchid

Mr. Atom

Infinity Man

Granny Goodness

Titan (from Return of the New Gods)

Sensei (League of Assassins)

Solaris (a Kobra foe)

Molecule Master

Warlock of Ys

And I'd also like:

Black Lightning (original 70's costume)

And just to wrap up my Superfriends collection:

Black Vulcan

Apache Chief

Samurai

El Dorado

If we consider Superfriends characters from the comics, then I would kill for:

Jack O'Lantern

Thunderlord

Tuatara

Rising Sun

Going into the LSH stuff, I agree with MasterJailer about Mon-el. I want:

Mon-El

Sunboy

Dawnstar

Element Lad

Mordru

Chemical King

Starfinger

Starboy

Time Trapper

The rest of the Fatal Five

Without Mon-El, Dawnstar, and Sunboy, I don't want a LSH collection.

"I AM FIRESTORM! I HAVE A LION'S MANE, BARE FEET, AND I HAVE A BIG BLUE GLOW IN FRONT OF MY CROTCH!"

How the hell would they construct his head, shoulders and back with all of those giant flames. Looks like it would be an engineering nightmare.

I didn't read that version of Firestorm, so I don't know why he has an icy blue glowing area in front of his junk. Maybe he caught something from Killer Frost, I don't know.

I only got one issue when he was this form. That was back before they cancel his comics for a short time. So I don't know when or how he got this way. I had only a few of the comics of Firestorm before he when like this. I have the comic some where in my closeit but I got lots and I mean lots of stuff in there and to try and get my comic books out from the boxes they are in would take a long time to do.

Regular Figures

-Fire (I don't really care what costume... as long as it's not the one that DCD did)

-Ice (Same as with Fire... no "Ice Maiden" costume)

-Metallo (I like the one from the Superman Animated line)

-Tim Drake 1st version Robin costume (and really do it... not just a repaint of the red costume)

-Red Robin

-Supergirl (Death of Superman era costume... red skirt)

-Golden Age Flash

-Lex Luthor (President Luthor or corrupt businessman. Lex in a stylish suit is what I want)

-mr. mxyzptlk and batmite 2-pack

CnC

-Doomsday

Bad figure that gets put into CnC waves

-The Heckler

Phantom Stranger

Both Paul Kirk and Mark Shaw Manhunters would be very appreciated. You could do a black variant of the Paul Kirk Manhunter easily to match the Power Company's version.

Wild Dog would be a dream.

Doomsday has to be a CnC figure. I wouldn't mind a new Killer Croc CnC.

I'd love a Green Arrow re-release with a retooled head (with his hood) and a decent damn bow. Just leave the arrow out if you can't do it right.

Professor Zoom is a must have.

I'd love to get a Darkstar.

The Ray (Quesada version, with Golden Age variant) would be awesome. Actually, almost all the Freedom Fighters would be appreciated.

Western style Vigilante would be a nice companion to Jonah Hex.

S.T.R.I.P.E. would be a neat BAF.

Valor/Mon El would be great.

I was there for that version of Firestorm. It's hard to believe that was some twenty years ago and the character has never been the same since.

As I remember Professor Stein had a brain tumor and was dying. Then Firestorm got nuked by the government (because the government is always evil.) and he turned out as you see him with bare feet and all. As it turned out, the nuke made Firestorm ascend to become the fire elemental of the DC Universe much in the same way that the Swamp Thing is the plant elemental. Well, John Ostrander, who was writing this mess, was clearly influenced by Doctor Manhattan from the Watchmen because he did his best to turn Firestorm into a carbon copy of Dr. M. right down to the bare feet and the lack of humanity. You see, as the fire elemental, Ronnie and the Prof became fused into a new emotionless persona. Without personality, he was also not very interesting. Firestorm limped on this way until his book was finally mercy-killed a few issues later. At some point, Professor Stein also finally died from that brain tumor.

I forgot Red Robin gotta add him to my list, as well as the Stephanie Batgirl.

Your suggestions, are the beginnings of a great Superman themed repaint wave. How about this:

-Metallo (I like the one from the Superman Animated line)

-Tim Drake 1st version Robin costume (and really do it... not just a repaint of the red costume)

-Steel reissue

-Supergirl (Death of Superman era costume... red skirt) <--even though she was a Skrull?

-Professor Zoom

-President Lex Luthor

-Doomsday CnC

Robin should be easy for professional toy designers: Sinestro body, DCSH Robin belt, Kid Flash arms, and a new head. ???

I also support these:

Darkstars, easily done as Abin Sur, John Stewart, and Donna Troy repaints.

The Ray (Quesada version)

Western style Vigilante

S.T.R.I.P.E. C&C Lets not forget Stargirl?

As much as I want a Zoom, lets relive the '90's and toss a Darkstar in the repaint wave above.
