That Joker tops the DCUC Joker easily. Wow...this stuff rocks!

Batman seems to have the worst sculpt from the entire series. Something about his really angular face is bothering me A LOT. The other figures: Joker, his girl, and Scarecrow look amazing though!

For better or worse, it's video game-accurate...

I would agree, very game accurate looking. The thing thats throwing me off is Batmans colors. The colors arent as prominent in the game as it is on the figure. I didnt know that those areas on him were so black and some were so blue. In the game they kind of just meshed together into shiny dark material. But every figure looks great, and I will probably buy some if not all of these. Only problem for me is im not a fan of DC Directs articulation something about their way of doing it kind of annoys me. Like make a figure in a pose and then give it articualation? Whats the purpose of being able to move an arm around when most of the body is static in a pose already?

Damn, Ventriloquist and Scarface have been my most-wanted characters from DC Direct or Mattel for years now, but one without the other is useless. He doesn't even have a gun or anything. Guess I'll have to keep waiting.

The game is great, though I'm not sure if I need figures from it. I didn't like the redesigns of Harley and Scarecrow, but the figures themselves do look good. If they make a Mongul-sized Killer Croc, that might sell me on the line.

This issue has been bothering me for years... Why bother with leg articulation if they only have one pose... I rather they were staction and cost less...

I'm reminded of when McFarlane did those ugly porn versions of the Wizard of Oz characters.

Howso? Those were, if I remember correctly, pretty grotesque(entrails, munchkins about to rape a naked Dorothy, etc) perversions of a wholesome kid's story. Whereas Batman: Arkham Asylum isn't particularly violent or sexual. It's really quite tame compared to what you'll find in the past 25 years or so of Batman comics and movies. Ever read the Arkham Asylum graphic novel? I couldn't even tell what was going on half the time, but it definitely wasn't kid-friendly.

Batman and Joker look like Batman and Joker. And Harley Quinn and Scarecrow really aren't any more bizarre than those Legend of the Dark Knight redesigns that Kenner did in the 90s. Is Harley Quinn's outfit any more perverted than what you find in the comics(Ivy, Star Sapphire, Huntress, even Wonder Woman)? Is Scarecrow as grotesque as Aaron Eckhart Two-Face, Danny Devito Penguin, or the Joker slicing open his tongue in RIP?

Wow that is the best Joker figure I have seen in a while. The Batman looks pretty good but I think it would've been better to do the costume black and grey. I really don't like the design on Scarecrow but I blame the game developers on that one, damn shame too since Scarecrow is my favorite Batman villain. Overall these figures have a dark and gritty look to them that fits the Batman universe better imo.

But Scarface is game accurate. If I recall correctly his cameo was very short with JOker holding him in one of his cut scenes. Just the puppter and no guns.
