'Back to the Future' Proposal Sends Our Hearts McFlying

When it comes to elaborate proposals, we've seen them all -- the good, the bad. So when we say something's impressive, you'd better believe it's pretty impressive.

Corey Goldfeder's "Back to the Future"–themed proposal is impressive.

Using a green screen made of disposable napkins and some borrowed chroma-key equipment, Corey set about replacing Michael J. Fox with footage of himself in a Marty McFly costume, having a carefully dubbed conversation with Doc Brown about whether or not the time was right for him to propose to his girlfriend.

Then he rented out a local movie theater, paid the owner to put up fake signage and took his lucky lady to the Michael J. Fox film retrospective.

About 20 minutes into the movie the proposal scene took place, and as his onscreen persona looked out into the audience, the real Corey got down on one knee and proposed, while their friends and family popped out from the wings.

A brilliant way for a couple who met at a costume ball dressed as a girl from the '50s and, yes, Marty McFly to get engaged.
