I like Drift, but I don't feel that car mode is sleek enough for Blurr. I want a Cheetor repaint.

Blurr looks completely different in the IDW comics and has an earth mode. Not sure if it is confirmed but it is believed that the 2.0 Blurr is based off of the IDW look

I've been trying to track down a picture of Blurr's Earth alt-mode - all I can find is the Cybertronian hover-car mode.

There is a pic at Tf wiki though it more resembles Track's corvette than Drift's alt.

Its sad, TF really arent that exciting anymore.

You're right, the market is FLOODED with crappy Movie toys right now, and the excitement that TF were since the UNICRON trilogy or BEASTWARS are gone by now. And just to add a little fuel to the fire, they release only 5+ new EXCITING molds and Thousands(almost) of repaints.

Its sad, really.

Not even TakaraTomy are interested in the franchise either.

I agree. I stopped buying Transformers 6 or 7 years ago

For me, I lost interest around the Cybertron/Galaxy Force line. Once Hasbro started working on new Transformers product with Takara, I felt the series was going into the wrong direction. I am not bashing Hasbro, but they make figures that are more towards children, which isn't a bad thing. As a result of that, the toys' transformation has become less difficult and more gimmickly.

Just that I loved both the Car Robots and Beast Wars Neo line since the gimmick for these figures were cosmetic. To clarify, since Armada, we have yet to get a normal figure in the main Transformers toyline. We would get some bizarre gimmick like minicon armour, energon armour, key power, etc.. The Animated and Movie figures do not have some sort of gimmick but they are too stylized for my taste.

The Transformers Classic line, while great, lacks the assortment of figures that the other lines have.

Indeed, those two lines go in opposite sides to the extreme. It's just that i do not like them at all, both lines do have some nice looking figures, but there are a few. and really not worth at all. IMO as a Hardcore TF Collector.

I believe that what the brand does really need are a new direction, a BACK-TO-BASICS while they still can, the Masterpieces are great, so why do they only make 1 new figure every 2 years?, Almost all the TFandom LOVES G1 and all the subsequent sagas, even the Unicron Trilogy, so Why did they change so abruptely the direction of the line?. What's the idea? making them to look "REAL LIFE-LIKE"like they intend to with the movies?.

May I recall that only a 30% of the Hardcore TFans likes the movies.

So what's the deal with "half naked designed" TF?

The appeal to kids? with so many overpriced toys out there? and to make it worst THEY ARE GOD Mo...F.... RE-PAINTS of the same toy released a MONTH BEFORE? a season before?

PLEASE, FOLKS over at HASBRO make the TF a COOL LOOKING INTERESTING LINE AGAIN!!!!!

IMO, The work that the folks over at IDW comics are doing with the new Comicbooks are really worth noticing, Don Figueroa's re-designs are COOL ENOUGH to make the property re-born again. and even whith the upcoming WAR FOR CYBERTRON videogame, they do still have a chance to redeem the TF franchise.

But please, one more thought, Make them in proper sizes or scaled between them THE BEST WAY YOU CAN.

How is it possible that STARWARS, GIJOE, MARVEL, DCU, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, HOTWHEELS, BEN10, ACTION MAN, BARBIE, et al. interact properly with scaled down and all cool stuff that have made them unique among collectors, and the TF cannot ANYMORE? How is it possible that a Fire truck is a lot bigger than a jet and a tank? that a sports car is bigger than a truck or a tank?

I remember the good ol' days, 1984 G1, The Pretenders, The Powermasters, The Gestalts.....ahhhh the good ol' days.

first off.. pretenders suck.. all of those gimmicky "G1" transformers don't rank with me.

second. I liked the movies. i like the look of the movies. Not all of the figures are going to be be good. In fact, i've found with most toy lines a majority of figures are lame. there are several VERY awesome figures that have come from the movie line.. these figures are.. human alliance bumblebee, human alliance skids, human alliance mudflap, human alliance sideswipe, human alliance barricade, human alliance jazz, the initial leader class prime, buster optimus prime (is incredible), leader class starscream, voyager recon ironhide, voyager bludgeon, voyager mindwipe, voyager long haul, voyager starscream, when repainted voyager the fallen is awesome, deluxe lockdown, deluxe brawn, deluxe takara red rampage, deluxe arcee, deluxe chromia, deluxe ravage, scout skystalker, scout scalpel, scout ejector, and legends wheelie are all great figures.

& lastly, what isn't exciting about deluxe drift, a future deluxe blurr, deluxe WfC prime, WfC starscream, WfC, bumblebee, WfC megatron, & hopefully more War for Cybertron figures, plus we're finally getting classics thrust. alternity starscream & skywarp should be coming out soon, and with the hint that we may be getting a masterpiece hot rod or rodimus prime.. what's there not to be excited about?

Before Cybertron, I used to collect all the figures within a line. I eventually gotten bored when the designs became gimmickly and uninteresting. Even though I no longer collect Transformers, I guess I was a hardcore collector considering that I bought reissues, japanese only release figures, binaltech figures, alts, myclones, PVCs, etc..

Although I do not see myself bound to nostalga, I miss the japanese anime/manga 80s' inspired G1 designs. Ever since the live action movies, the robots are heavily inspired by american intreptations of robots-the majority of the robots in the live action films look like some odd incarnation of Johnny Five from Short Circuit. From what I have gathered online, the IDW comics even went towards a more movie/american robot apporach.

I know some people would argue that Transformers is created and developed soley by three Americans companies (TF wiki), but that isn't true. Takara has played a huge involvement with the Transformers franchise just as Marvel has with the storyline and characters' names.

When G1 was being made, Takara were the ones who designed the toys and a Takara artist even did the concept art of the characters, which were then eventually altered slightly by an american artist-he removed the wheels in bot mode and made the head biggers. With that said, I would like to see Hasbro or Takara going back to a Japanese manga inspired Transformers line that isn't borderline loli porn like TF Kiss Players. I mean, nothing too flashy like Galaxy Force/Cybertron but more of an old school style with the majority of the characters with the generic anime robot faces.

Sorry to rant, guess it is the passive aggressiveness in me that developed when some ppl here on the forums (none posting on this thread) passionately denies that Takara had anything to do with Transformers and Beast Wars and that the character designs, storyline, and names where handled by Marvel, which isn't true esp if one checks the TF wiki site. Although Beast Wars the cartoon is made by Canadians and some of the story were obviously done by Hasbro. Some of the Beast Wars and Beast Machine figures were made by Takara. That is why the Beast Wars toys back then used to say some like used under license from Takara.

According to TF wiki, Hasbro now makes a lot of the newer toys along with Takara's toy delevopment team.

I too am bothered with the scale issues with the current TF line. Figures not being in scaled is understandable in regards to the Car Robots and G1 line-both lines used recycle figures that were in a different scale- but because the new lines uses new sculpts, it doesn't make any sense other than to make more figures. I also checked the TF wikia site and it seems that Hasbro placed a strict size restriction to HasTak designers. That could be one reason why there are still scale problems in the current TF lines

Well it looks like I will be saving money on this line because of the new combiner crap that reminds me of the stupid Energonn figures

Plus we still haven't seen a Prime or Megatron for this new line

They should of kept the classics going on along with animated I'm sure we all would of love aWarpath figure or Wheeljack and Perceptor

I just noticed BBTS has WFC OP, WFC BB, Thrust and Drift under "Generations"... Are they replacing Universe with this new banner?...

Yep - Generations will be the new Universe catch-all.

They look great. Thrust especially. Seems like we're only getting 2 'Classics' molds per Generations wave. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Yes, Finally THRUST will be available at retail, at a reasonable price point. Now let's hope that DIRGE and THUNDERCRACKER also finally make the cut down the road. I hope that HASBRO continues with the RAINMAKERS also and make available again SKYWARP and RAMJET for those fans that missed them.

Now, let's talk about some REALLY COOL NEW G1 based SEEKERS, like with NEW molds (IDW based), ULTRA sized, and with cool EFX. how about it uh?, anyone? please rise your "typing".

Maybe for a start....

The Henkei version of Thrust was released a while back...

Classics became part of Universe... Universe is now part of Generations... So technically not dead just under a different banner...
