Big Lots 25th version Joes question

Are these the only figures being found?

Zartan

Pilot Scarlett

Cobra Bazooka trooper

Matt Tracker

Flint in Cobra outfit

Para-Viper

I was hoping they might be getting the Wraith figure varient. I never found one and I do not plan on paying what the figure currently goes for on ebay. I also do not want to make the rounds if nobody has found anything other then the above figures. I also have to ask. No vehicles? That sucks. Can anyone help me out?

Marshal's, TJ Maxx, and I think Ross were getting the Wraith wave, and a few variants were spotted in the mix. It seems Big Lots is only getting the Trakker wave.

Are they still getting them. I only checked on one of these stores in my area and that was awhile back when I first heard about them getting them in stock. They of course had nothing I did not already have. Kinda sucks if Big Lots is not getting them as Wraith and Croc Master both are sandwiched between the ones they are getting on the back of the cards. So is this "Trakker" wave a specific assortment with certain figures in the cases? That sucks!

Been a LONG time since Big Lots had ANYTHING I wanted in the toy department. I was also hoping they would get some of the excess movie product at some point. $4 a figure sure beats $8 and I still want a Steel Crusher and certain vehicles I would not pay the full origional retail for. I never saw them hit the clearance aisle at my Walmart and all they have now are Mole Pods. YUCK! The only movie vehicle I have to date are 2 Night Ravens at $19 each. That and a PIT, but my friend got me that as a gift. (Probably caught it on clearance. No way he got it for me at full price.)

I'm heading back to my hometown next week (no big lots up here) so i'll check and see what they have. I never managed to grab a zartan or Matt Trakker. I am supposedly not buying toys per an agreement with my wife... but if they are on sale... :)

I checked another local Big Lots and they had 0 Joes. Nothing but Star Trek movie toys. They had a TJ Maxx and Tuesday Morning store across the street so I popped in as that TM was where I found my Crimson Command Chopper. They had nothing at TM and TJ Maxx only had Combat Heroes. I doubt I will find that Wraith at retail. I have pretty much given up unless people are still seeing him. I do have 2 other Big Lots to check that I know about. Feel free to post those TM finds as well. I don't mind.

Not trying to hijack your thread or anything but what are the Joes showing up at Tuesday Morning? I figure ask here to put the lists for both there and Big Lots in one section.

Tuesday Morning was getting the 'bonus' wave of the PP Crimson Guard, Ninja Viper, etc. Been a while since I heard of anything new there.

At Ross the only things I have seen are: Cobra Island 7-packs, 25th wave 2 vehicles (Shark wave), and now some of the crappier ROC figures.

At Marshall's : 25th DVD packs (but never saw 4 or 5), 25th wave with Croc Master/TF Flint/Wraith (but never the variant), and some of the later comic packs.

At TJ Maxx: wraith wave again, but no variants.

I don't think I care enough about any of the big lots figures to go look. I think they are 4 bucks each... for that price I might get an EEL or two.. I would get some bazooka vipers for 2 bucks or so

Spotted some 25th Eels finally! I missed them completely on the first time around and gosh does it feel great to pay 4 bux for em'. I went to four BLots and they were hit and miss. Some had them some didn't at all, all the Chap Mei stuff is long gone, and Star Trek is filling up fast. They have the bridge and transport playsets for 10 bux and dudes for 3! I want to go back and pick up some Bazooka troops when I have more smoney. But thats all for now thanx..

$3 each for the small figures. I forget how much for the larger ones. Bridge and Transporter playsets $10 each. They had a TON of them at the location I saw them at. I am tempted, but my action figure collecting has to be limited nowadays.

When I visited my Dad in SoCal at the beginning of this year, I found many (not all) of the Star TrekTerminator Salvation mini movie figures for 99 cents each. The surprise was that I found them at some cheapo random 99 cent store (out in this Chino shopping center). There was a Ross as well as a Target within the vicinity. This was back in early January though. Off hand I don't remember who I got (I don't think Spock or Uhura were available)

I've been having an extremely stressful week at work so far, so when I read about anniversary Joes showing up at Big Lots, I thought it'd be theraputic to drive down to my local store to see if they have any. You just never know; sometimes they have what other areas are reporting, sometimes they don't. Well, they had plenty of them suprisingly. There's just something very satisfying and exciting about finding great stuff like this in a store like Big Lots.

I actually already had this entire wave of figures, but some I had on mint cardbacks, and some I had on not-so-mint cardbacks for opening. So I wanted to complete a set of figures on mint cardbacks, and I wanted others I could open later. Well...actually I bought an extra Airborne, "Specialist Trakker", and Zartan to open and fool around with. The only one I didn't get was the Pilot Scarlett figure. I love that particular figure, but all the ones I found either had a bad paint job or the accessories were messed-up. For example, they all seemed to have something wrong with their helmets, so I passed.

Some things kinda disappointed me, like the fact that Airborne's vest won't fasten on the side. Also, the paint on his head was messed-up a little. But overall these are minor issues and it's a great figure. I've always loved Airborne. I played with my original one until it literally fell apart. (lol) For some reason, he just epitomized what a G.I. Joe figure should look like.

Also, I just about laughed out loud at the kiddie-sized swamp speeder/sled that Zartan. (lol) It looks like something that came from the Big Wheel section at Wal-Mart. But I understand the sentiment; I applaud Hasbro for trying to include a swamp skier in with a basic figure. And really it's constructed very well. It's just way too small.

Matt Trakk...er, "Specialist Trakker" was a blast from the past. Now I've always been intrigued by this figure. If someone had told me when I was twelve-years old that someday Matt Trakker would be a member of the G.I. Joe team and that Hasbro was going to make a figure of him, my head would have exploded. But I was kinda wary of a hokey commemorative M.A.S.K. figure as an adult, wondering how they were going to work the idea into the G.I. mythos. But having the figure in-hand, I've reverted back to my twelve-year old self, although my head didn't explode. (lol) It's just so very cool to hold a M.A.S.K. character in my hand as a G.I. Joe figure. There's just something oddly surreal about it. It's a great figure.

I was just so very pleased to find these great figures at a discount store for such a great price in such great packaging. I just hope Big Lots gets more waves in, by some inexplicable miracle...

Oh, and I was so very thrilled to finally get a Cobra Paratrooper on a mint cardback. Ever since I saw a pic online of one in an acrylic protective case, I thought about how good it looked in the packaging and wanted one on a mint cardback. I never could find one, until now. I just always loved how original the figure was and how it could have easily been in the original line. I also got an Anti-armor Trooper on a mint cardback as well. I love it also and thought it was as equally original. But both figures' cardbacks sport the "From the G.I. Joe Comic Series!" advertisement. Did these characters indeed actually appear in the original Marvel comic series?

Yep I saw the Big Lots ones.

Marshalls & TJ Maxx had clear Wraith BATs etc. They also had some vehicles Firebat & SHARC,etc. However by now they are all sold out.

Tuesday Morning has the Canadian versions. My Tues Morning was sold out of them a long time ago. I just saw Ripper here in CA today.

I found nothing but RoC Breaker for $4 at Ross.

Y'know pesatyel, I just figured out what you meant, and you're absolutely right. Would that not be a dream come true, to get a modern M.A.S.K. line going again using the 25th Anniversary Joe scale and construction? It'd be harder to display the larger vehicles of course, but man...what a rush that'd be!
