Who's excited about the new articulation??

This change, even on a limited basis, so far into the line is bad enough. If they change to a ball jointed hip I swear to God I will drive to Mattel headquarters and start taking hostages.

What's the problem with the change here? To compare with Marvel Legends, they went through several different articulation schemes over the course of several years--during the Toy-Biz era, no less. Take a look how they managed the hips for the Hulk in wave 1, compared to the last Hulk in the Face-off series. Or the torso of Captain America, again in wave 1, with the Captain America in Face-Off again, or even the Ultimate Cap in ML8.

Change is a constant here, and this kind of change is intended to expand what the toys offer consumers.

But, I digress......the current hip style that Mattel uses works fine for their figures. Unless the character is large or designed differently, I see no reason for them to arbitrarily switch every figure to a classic ball-joint hip.

I agree. There´s no need to change that articulation. Aesthetically, it would look different from past figures and it would ruin he sculpt.

giving a second thought about some figures getting the double knee/elbow articulation....could it be possible that the big guns MAY come with new sculpt as well?? Wonder Woman using the dress, strapped sandals, sword (ala jim lee), Batman with a new mold / look (DCSH), Modern Green Arrow using the hood, Modern Black Canary (ala Michael Turner).I don´t know how superman would get an update, maybe a textured suit, like the one Routh used in the movie, but done in a comic style (bright red, big chest symbol)?

Cause, well, we´ve already seen classic blue beetle and modern, following the pattern, so, it could be.

I'm all for more articulation as long as two things are addressed. First, stability and tight joints. I hated a lot of the 12" Sideshow monster figures because they were just too loose. And by stability I mean being able to stand and be posed without losing that pose or balance. Second, it has to be esthetically pleasing. As long as those issues are met, I don't care how much articulation they give them.

I honestly don't care what Marvel Legends did with their articulation. I didn't collect them; I thought they were over-articulated, to be honest.

With DCUC, my preference is that the articulation remain consistent throughout the line, or as consistent as possible since this change is apparently already imminent. Part of the reason DCUC appeals to me is that the lines of the figures are so clean - adding more articulation will tend to break that 'clean' look. Just seeing the images of the Blue Beetle from ToyFair, the double joint was glaringly out of place, IMO.

As long as the sculpt isn't lost in the added articulation, then it's fine with me. After seeing Blue Beetle, I'm quite sure they can pull off adding extra articulation without ruining the sculpt. But I think Blue Beetle's amount of articulation is as far as it should go...well maybe add jointed feet, but that's about it.

No,no jointed feet!! I do have problems trying to stand some ML, and they fall because of that joint!

I do agree with you, however, that Blue Beetle´s articulation should be as far as it should go.
