Siege #2 (Holy @#@$)

Recommended Posts

SPOILER ALERT for those who plan to read...

How awesome was that panel of Sentry ripping Aires, quite literally, in half?

The downside is he is a character I thought came a long way over the past few years, and I assume he will be "dead" for at least a little while.

Anyone else following Siege?

Oh yes. Awesome read, just awesome.

I hope the build-up pays off in a spectacular story climax. So far, they have hit a lot of the right notes.

Norman genuinely feels he's doing the right things, make his villainy all the more complex.

I suspect, given how they have approached the writing for the past few years, that the heroes will still have an edge, but the villains will be far darker than we have seen them up until now.

They have taken characters like Tony Stark/Iron Man to the very edge of being a villain and successfully brought him back. Redemption like that is not easy to write, and I think they have done it sensibly and masterfully.

I'd like to see Sentry defeated (or perhaps, contained) somehow, but I don't want him to go away altogether.

I feel for a character that started out as a joke to many fans, he has become very interesting.

Now, I wonder how close we are to a new figure of him in either ML or MU?
