Playing through army two tfd again to get some more achievements... might get the dlc for it i dunno. Its kinda cheap that they ALREADY have dlc out for it. The game was short enough that they could have just put the new levels in... but nooooo

 

I was gonna buy a new game but thought, why spend 50-60 bucks on a new game when i can get a bunch of older ones i haven't had the chance to play yet!

I got Rise of the Argonauts, which i started and am enjoying so far. my only complaints are the graphics, but hey i've seen worse. The combat can be annoying sometimes to. also got Dark Sector, Wolfenstein, Way of the Samurai 3, and Fracture. Haven't played any of these yet but they all look fun!

 

Anyone else play the demo for the new dynasty warriors? I though it was pretty neat and am looking forward to playing the full version. I used to love DW 3-4 (?) on the ps2. DW 6 kinda pissed me off when they switched up all the characters weapons and fighting style and the subtle changes they made to combat made it unplayable for me at the time.

 

To reply to the army of two DLC, for one its EA. They love pushing DLC right after the game is out which its been out for a good few months so thats not entirely unreasonable. And also the dlc could very well actually be on the disc and you are downloading the unlock key. Depending on the actual size of the download would determine that. If its like 8kb, its a dl key, if its a good amount of megabytes then its new dlc thats not on the disc.

 

I ve been seeing Rise of the Argonauts on sale at a few places for extremely cheap prices ranging from 10 to even 5 dollars! Been curious about the title however ive seen ratings of it go no higher than 6 out of 10s. I love greek mythology games so definitely let me know what you think after you beat it. I bought dark sector a few weeks ago and havent got to it. Its a few years old but the ratings were solid 8s all around so im also looking forward to playing it. I always pass on fracture as the demo when it first came out was very lackluster. I also see that game go for like 5 bucks in many places. (NOTE: i NEVER buy used games so when i say a price its for a new factory sealed game.)

 

I also havent played a new DW game since i think dynasty warriors 2! hard to believe the first game was a fighting game and a great one at that!

I just beat Rise of the Argonauts today. Not that long of a game, but I enjoyed it for what it was. I played on hero difficulty (medium difficulty I guess. the others were human and legend) and died for the first time on the second to the last part. I blame my couple of deaths on the not so great controls. Other than that it was pretty easy. The game fudges with the classic mythology you'd know, but it makes a pretty decent story. and most of the favorite characters in greek mythology make an appearance. I got my copy for around $16 new. that was the cheapest I saw it anywhere. I will say that if i paid 60 for this game when it came out, i'd be pretty darn pissed off lol if you can find it for under $20 then I'd say go for it.

A lot of ppl were angry since it painted the game in a negative light despite not really having graphic sex scenes. because of the controversies, the scenes in teh DragonAge game were toned down even more by having them wearing underwear despite the scenes being brief.

For those who thinks I might be bias against Fox News, CNN also made a dumbass segment about a videogame. I am not defending the content in the game since I do not like rape themes, but it is obvious that the gal who did this segment wants to become famous.

 

Sure, the game is about rape, but it is a hentai(adult onlys game) and it came out back in 04. It wasn't even known in america till 08, whereas ppl starts to know the existence of the game. AS a result, more ppl learns about this hentai game. The CNN clip was made a few weeks ago. It is like if some reporter who wants to be known reports a random american porn where the dude rapes females till they like it.

 

 

The game is also rare as heck to find even if one wants to pirate it.

 

This specific controversy started a new bill that is considered being passed in Japan

Uh, I wish the game would've been like that. I think what she meant to say was, "You get to see an alien butt, with a not-so-graphic sex scene that lasts maybe 45 seconds of the total 15-20 hours of in-game time it takes to beat the game. The person who's playing the game gets to decide between a few choices that the game gives you, and can choose to pursue the relationship part of the game, but it has no impact on the cut-scene featuring the sex, other than what characters it shows."

 

She makes it sound like I could choose to take Liara doggy-style or missionary, and where I wanted to place the money-shot. @lol@

"They don't show women as being valued for anything other than their sexuality, and it's a man in this game deciding how many women he wants to be with."

 

Did this woman even play the game? I'm pretty sure there was no objectifying of women in ME...hell I actually thought the female characters were more interesting and had better back stories than the male characters. And, just for the record, it can be a woman deciding how many people she wants to be with in the game as well. @loll@

The lady in the video says that she has never played the game at all. This caused that commentary guy from the other video to rate her book with low score w/o reading the book, with other ppl agreein. Seems fair considering that the lady didn't play the game and gave it a negative review.

I don't really see any logical person being able to defend that peice of news from Fox. It's not about a source here, or Fox being more conservative etc, they were flat out wrong and in this cause featured terrible reporting. It happens, and they were called out and rightly so. But it does happen everywhere.

 

I still haven't played ME 1 or 2. I'm sure i'll get around to it but at the moment when I do get to play, I'm just playing like mw2. Really I'm doing more netflix than anything.
