Too Big? (Wave 12 Darkseid C-n-C)

I can go for a Darkseid that size. I mean, I accept that they made Lobo waaaaaay too big, so I can accept a large Darkseid too

That is a completely bad ass picture of him smashing Batman EldestSon

That was the craziest scene in a comic I have ever seen. Batman stands up to Darkseid and lives. Little over the top.

He had a mother box protecting him from Darkseid attacks

they made Kalibak big, so Darkseid has to be in scale. Actually I am fine with it, usually I hate the scale they have made some of their BAF's but Darkseid is alright with me, best Wave since Wave 9

I think they did right by him, because from Superfriends to JLU and the comics he has always been a big menacing character. I used Desparo's legs to compare his size to that of his minions. I can't wait to get him some arms and legs!

Some new shots over on another board make the face look better. For some reason when up close the detail shows through better. So I will wait to pass judgement on the face till I have it, the height, yeah its to big! @loll@

Nice Pic, Dragon 66.

I don't think Darksied is too big, but his face sculpt falls short of the DSCH version, in my opinion.

Imagine the DC Direct versions face on the C&C ... now that would awesome, no matter what size he was.

now, see!....thats what im talkin about! the DCSH face sculpt is tons better than the new C&C.

I would prefer a more Kirby-esque face, but I'll take what I can get. I also still have my DCD New Gods Darkseid which is hella awesome and may find a new home on my office desk. :P

I guess is height is appropiate.I always take the toons as main reference, cause they usually depict the characters with standard measures, you know, like superman, batman, green lantern, being regular guys, Kilowog, Bane, bigger than regular, Darkseid, bigger than bigger than regular. Kilowog, on the other hand, looks gigantic,I don´t know his height, but shouldn´t he be just an inch bigger than the rest of the figures?

I don't think so, Kilowogg is pretty massive in the Green Lantern Corps comics.

Guy Gardner is the closest to Kilowogg in this image and look at how tiny he is in comparison:

The Four Horsemen, the sculptors for Mattel's DC Universe Classics line has posted the following message on Mattel's Facebook page in regards to scale issues with the new "Collect-to-Connect" Darkseid figure.

"Hi everybody, we've seen a lot of arguing and confusion surrounding the scale and size of the recently released Darkseid C&C figure. We thought that it might be helpful if we gave you guys some insight into where we came up with the final height of the figure. Darkseid's classic height has always been listed at 7'6". (Of course the modern version is listed as much bigger, but most fans have been vocal about getting the classic proportions.) The average DCUC figure is not 6", but actually 6 and 3/8 inches tall. Proportionally the perfect height for a Darkseid figure representing 7'6" is exactly 8". We decided to use official stats since he has been drawn so many different ways over the years. (Even Jack Kirby's depictions vary drastically from panel to panel!) On a further note the Super Powers version is 5.5" versus a standard hero height of 4.5". Proportionately scaled, our figure is actually a little smaller than he should be to match the Super Powers size difference. Of course these guys are comic book characters, so what would any discussion be without a little debate, but we thought you might like a little insight into how we came up with our version."

Darkseid is part of Mattel's 12th wave of DCUC line which includes the following figures.

Again like all big characters they are drawn differently depending on the artist. Personally I don't like how Brimstone and Kilowog are going to be the same height, if you have to scale down Brimstone then for sure Kilowog can be scaled down as well.

This isn't the 90's anymore and DC isn't Image Comics. They're good about maintaining editorial consistency throughout the Green Lantern titles and Kilowogg is always on model. He's consistently large throughout all of the Green Lantern titles.

In all my years of reading comics I don't recall ever seeing a human sized, or slightly above human sized Kilowogg.

If you can show me evidence otherwise, outside of your opinion I'm open to being proven wrong.
