With many rumors of a future wave being [Lantern (Kyle or Guy), Obsidian, Hourman, Gold, Kamandi, Zatana, Tyr & Ultra-Humaniteas and others like Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, Samurai, Toyman, Red Arrow, etc...and the remaining Super Powers collection] they may join the cast when they are officially confirmed.[/b]

Zan and Jayna have human names?????

Sinestro has a first name????

The Shark has a human name? But he was a shark!!!

I've always hated revisiting origins and adding detail an origin never needed in the first place. It's really unrestrained arrogance that makes a writer look at a cool story he didn't originate, add a bunch of superfluous detail, and then proclaim, "Aha! NOW this cool story is cool!"

But in these cases, its not unrestrained arrogance on the part of the writer, its their job!

That misses the point. It doesn't matter if it's a writer or the editor, or director who hired that writer. SOMEONE looked at an existing story ...one that may have endured as it was for many, many years... and due to their own conceit, took it upon themselves to "improve" an existing story by adding fat to it. Has Sinestro been an incomplete character all these years without that first name?

Very impressive and thorough list! The only thing I'd change is that Parasite's name is Rudy Jones. Also, since you labeled all the other Green Lanterns as GLs and then their names, you should do the same with Kilowog...Green Lantern (Kilowog)

IIRC, Shark's name is a pseudonym he created. He had a more human appearance at the time, and tried to interact with humans, seeking "prey" in various places. I think he became a businessman/gangster or something?

And other people from Korugar have names like Katma Tui and Soranik Natu, so it makes sense that Sinestro would have two names as well.

This is a joke, right? Read some of those first appearances(with DCUC it's easy, they're listed on the package!)...oftentimes the origin is two pages and just involves the character getting electrocuted and finding out he has powers or inventing some gadget. Or in cases like the Joker, there's no origin at all...the Red Hood, the vat of chemicals, that was added in the '50s IIRC. The things that people associate with many classic characters from Superman and Lex Luthor to Green Arrow and Black Canary were added well after their first appearances, sometimes years later.

Marvel's Baron Zemo, for example, is a character that's been vastly improved by later writers. Mr. Freeze is another. Abin Sur, through Alan Moore, Geoff Johns, and others, has gone from random dying alien to an actual character.

And does the same standard apply to artists? The arrogance of Neal Adams to think that he could make Green Arrow look cooler!

Thanks for the input everyone. I updated with all of the suggestions.

*I classified the "Public Enemies" figures as DCSH/DCUC as they are the same construct and use many of the same parts as the DCSH/DCUC lines.

**I really do not see this as a checklist other than an information sheet that gives others the ability to look up a character and know who they are. I did not know who many are. I am newer to the DC realm and in reading the comics, they use first names a lot and not the superhero names. This had at least helped me understand/know whom the author(s) were speaking of when reading the comics.

It also identifies the multiple superheroes that have different characters such as Aquaman and Dr. Fate for example. There are more than one character released for the individual superhero. Here is the list so far: AQUAMAN (AURTHUR JOSEPH CURRY) & AQUAMAN (ORIN, ADOPTED AS ARTHUR CURRY) are two different people. Same goes for others like BATGIRL (BARBARA GORDON) & BATGIRL (CASSANDRA CAIN), BLUE BEETLE (TED KORD) & BLUE BEETLE III (JAIME REYES), CHEETAH (BARBARA MINERVA) & CHEETAH (PRISCILLA RICH), DR. FATE (HECTOR HALL) & DR. FATE (KENT NELSON), FIRESTORM (JASON RUSCH) & FIRESTORM (RONNY RAYMOND), HAWKGIRL (SHAYERA HOL) &HAWKGIRL (SHIERA SANDERS HALL), HAWKMAN (CARTER HALL) & HAWKMAN (KATAR HOL), SUPERGIRL (KARA ZOR-EL) & SUPERGIRL (LINDA DANVERS) and to an extent, the many different Green Lanterns just being called "GREEN LANTERN".

I'm caught up through wave 11 (no 12s yet). I'm only missing a variant or 2...the phasing Deadman and the invisible Man-Bat, otherwise I think I have them all! Woo-Hoo!

That is very impressive as out of the 123 figures that have been currently released through January, there is a total of 181 total figures when the variants/repaints are included. Of what we know that is out and that has been confirmed as a set release, there are 203 (Rumors not included and unfinished Super Powers as they have not been shown or given a wave yet).

I may have mis-spoken (or been mis-leading)...I do NOT have the all-black Batman from Wave 10 or the mud-covered Batman (I didn't buy that 2-pack, since I already had Clayface). I'm still missing Major Force and Black Lightning from Public Enemies, and I won't buy the re-painted Batman or Superman. But I do have Lobo and Dawg and Zan, Jayna and Gleek, and the albino Man-Bat. Other than that, I'm pretty up-to-date, I think.

No problem. Still very impressive to have the majority.
