Custom Last Crusade Tank

I've been working on the tank from Last Crusade. It won't be as good as Dark Horse's version because I can't afford to make it out of plastic or to make those incredible tank treads that Dark Horse made. So this is the Last Crusade tank on the cheap. I started out by scanning a picture of the tank from 'The Star Wars Archives' (which also features Indiana Jones), then I printed out the image and used it as a template.

 

The body of the tank is made from 2.5mm greyboard, with slightly thinner card for more intricate things like the turrets. I glued strips of styrene on for detail. The rivets are made from stick-on eyes.

 

 

As I said, I wasn't able to make proper tank-treads like Dark Horse, so I glued strips of corrugated card on instead. The idea is that they'll look like tank-treads when they're painted.

 

 

I bought a few World Peacekeepers toys and glued on things for detail - stuff like oil cans and crates.
