Crimson Twins hit it on the head. When Craig Biggio got his 3000th hit for the Astros, it was a great night (he went 4 for 5 if I remember correctly). However, that season you could tell he was a shell of his former self and not playing at the level of performance a starting second baseman should have.

I believe he played a couple of games in the beginning of the '09 season before he was once again diagnosed with a fracture in his foot. I guess his foot has never been the same, even after the second surgery.
