The NBA Play-Offs have started and I'm disgusted already. San Antonio RULES the West, but get a load of this pic.

I'm not sure that I'm able to post this pic so I don't know how long it will stay up, but if you will notice...

There is not ONE pic of a Spur's player up there. I hate major networks that are bought but coastal and big city influences.

That's because the Spurs are a bunch of whiners and cheaters. Duncan is always whining, and Parker and Ginobili are the biggest floppers in the NBA. ;) @lol@

There is talk of realignment in MLB

this would eliminated the current divisions in favor of the top 5 teams being in the playoffs and The Marlins and astros to be moved to the AL

I think it sucks I would rather see 4 divisions in each leauge I have no idea why these idiots cannot do that

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/731426-mlb-what-to-think-of-baseballs-potential-realignment-plan

Various sources are reporting today that Major League Baseball has had extensive discussions about potential realignment in the near future.

ESPN's Buster Olney is reporting that the MLB and the MLB Players Association are discussing moving an NL team to the AL to have two 15-team leagues.

Amongst the considerations are three 5-team divisions per league or no divisions at all in an effort to remove the currently-utilized unbalanced schedule that gives some teams an unfair advantage based on their opponents and frequency of playing them.

The 15-team no division format would have five teams make the playoffs per league with the top three seeds in each league presumably receiving a bye into the second round of the playoffs.

One source reported that the odds of such a change occurring are about 50-50.

A major factor to consider with possible realignment is there would always be the need for an interleague series to take place because of the odd number of teams in each league. Another deciding factor would be which team to move from the NL to the AL; presumably an NL Central team would move to the AL West to put five teams in every division. The Houston Astros are one team that has been discussed, as it would allow for a rivalry with the in-state Texas Rangers.

If it does happen, it probably won't be soon; it would likely take a few years to get everything in place and get a majority of teams on board. Some compensations would need to be made for the team transferring leagues, a new playoff format would need to be agreed upon and the potential of year-round interleague play is also sure to cause some debate.

This could be part of a master plan to increase revenues by increasing the number of playoff teams. I suppose a three-game playoff that has already been discussed would be used between the fourth and fifth seed of each league. The playoffs would continue like they currently function after the Wild Card round.

It's difficult to fathom such a drastic change to the tradition-laden MLB, but stranger things have happened.

I am not sure if this is a good thing for the Astros or not...

As long as they hang on to Pence and keep him in their future plans than they should be fine. That kid Wallace is pretty good too. They might even benefit from having an extra bat (D.H.)in their line up if they do move to the A.L.

I would hate it if the Astros moved to the AL. If this is several years from now, their main guy to be the DH (Carlos Lee) will be off the books and gone (thank god). However, if they keep divisions, then the Astros in the AL West mean a bunch of late night games starting at 9 pm central. That is just stupid. Interleague play sucks, and I do not want to see a DH every night. Not to mention the 3+ hour games.

The problem is with the Pittsburghs ,the Kansas City that haven't wond in a generation

I suggested a 4 division system to give the teams a better chance to get in.this would leave the division with either 3 or 4 team and less teams for a competeing team to jump over giving them some hope

But of course Baseball has a backwards way they want to do it

A little bit of NBA trivia for you guys out there. Being a Heat fan, I did a little bit of research, and found an interesting fact. Of the first 10 players drafted in the 1992 NBA Draft, 8 of the players eventually ended up on the Miami Heat roster. Anyone care to try and figure out who the two that didn't make the list were? I'll give you a hint: It's not Shaq. @smilepunch@
