Batman Black & White

My local comic shop is having a Christmas sale going on at the moment and part of the sale they have is 40% off all statues and busts. So today I decided to pick up the Ed McGuinness Batman Black & White Statue. Let me just say this is a great item. I know collecting a bunch of Batman statues could get monotonous but now that I have this one I kinda want to pick up others, if not the rest.

 

I would have hated myself if I had passed this bad boy up. And for only $48 compaired to $80!! I have to say not a bad buy.

They don't have that one. They do have a bunch more though. Off the top of my head I know they have Ethan Van Sciver, David Mazzucchelli, Jim Aparo, Alex Ross, and the Brian Bolland Penguin.

 

I was really hoping I could get the Bruce Timm one. But someone had gotten to it before I had. @grumpy@

My brother collects these, and they look awesome displayed together. I would collect them if I didn't buy as much action figures. But I am definately buying the batman based off the arkham asylum video game. It looks fantastic.

I LOVE these statues...i own them all to date...They do look AMAZING together...a new one comes out next week cant wait!

The latest Batman Black and White statue is based on this concept, designed by Cliff Chiang and sculpted by Paul Harding. The statue is limited to 3500, and is available now at most comic shops and online retailers.

guy came into the store and brought in statues and busts fro $10 each...needless to say I bought a few. included were a couple of the B&W batmans

Did anyone get the new Black and White featuring the art of Pat Gleason? If so was your base and box numbered? Mine was not and was trying to figure out if i had a rare statue or if this was on purpose.

I love these I have the one by Darwyn Cooke and I have the one by Jim Lee coming in. I've always like more detail in a statue but there is something about the black and white that draws me in. They are really topnotch statues.
